I expected that whipping my gun out would instill fear in Justin, but that wasn't what I saw in his eyes. Instead, Justin remained calm and collected. I'd seen my other associates unmoved by this action, but I didn't expect my law-abiding half-brother to react the same way.

Justin remained at ease in every situation and I didn't understand how he found this type of calmness after being brought up with the good life, and a silver spoon in his mouth. It must have been that mother of his - always coddling him or providing him with opportunities that I didn't have.

Nothing like the woman I was supposed to call Mom.

Justin's mother was dead now, but I still felt envious of the life she'd given him. She'd always been supportive, providing him with every opportunity to succeed. She helped him with his graduate studies, which opened the door for his career as a successful lawyer.
