ORIGIN: Dover, Massachusetts.
The Dover Demon urban legend originated in the town of Dover, Massachusetts, in 1977.
The legend began when three separate teenagers reported to their guardians about encountering a strange creature twice in two different nights.
Their descriptions were all the same; a creature unlike anything ever seen before.
The Dover Demon was described by them to be small, about three to four feet tall, with an oversized, bulbous head.
Its skin was pale, hairless, and peach-colored, with a texture close to a sandpaper.
The most haunting feature it possessed was its large, glowing orange eyes, which seemed to pierce through the darkness.
It had long, spindly limbs with thin fingers, and its movements were described to be rather awkward, almost as if it were not familiar with or used to the environment.
Later on, it was spotted by several witnesses who all said the creature seen near wooded areas and stone walls, seemingly observing them before disappearing into the night.
The several batches of reports made the people so afraid and many rumoured it to either be a extraterrestrial creature or a mutated animal.
However, despite no concrete evidence, the legend endures;
It is now known as one of 'New England's most unsettling cryptids'.
