THE SINGING BOY IN THE ATTIC

ORIGIN: UNKNOWN

The legend of The Singing Boy in the Attic is a tale told in various parts of the world about an old house where the voice of a child is heard singing from the attic.

One of the most well-known versions of this legend comes from an abandoned Victorian house in the countryside.

According to locals, a young boy was once locked in the attic by a very wicked and cruel guardian who wanted to hide him from the world.

The sad boy would usually sing to comfort himself, singing until his voice echoed through the entire house.

One day, he died from starvation or illness, and his spirit never left.

People who enter the house at nighthear a faint melody coming from the attic, even though the space is empty.

Some say the singing grows louder if one starts to walk closer to the attic door.

Others say the boy's ghost stands at the window, moving lips while he sings a tune that no living person knows.
