The development of the antidote serum advanced rapidly with Ultron's involvement. His participation was akin to putting the research on fast-forward.
Initially knowing nothing about the process, Ultron listened to Charles and Stark's explanations, understood everything completely, and soon surpassed their expertise.
In the end, Stark and Charles could only stand aside and watch, as their involvement would slow down the progress of the serum's development.
Taking charge, Ultron worked on the serum while the other two, feeling out of place, wandered over to where Han Yu was lounging.
Using his Green Lantern energy, Han Yu had conjured a large, comfortable sofa and was leisurely playing mobile games.
"This guy is incredible," Charles remarked.
"Yeah, Han Yu, who is this? Are all your employees this powerful?" Stark asked, still unaware that the person before him was Ultron.
Since the Sokovia incident, Ultron's name had been relegated to the farthest recesses of Stark's memory. After all, he had seen Ultron's destruction with his own eyes. What he didn't know was that the Ultron before him was not the same first-generation version but a far more advanced and humanlike iteration.
Han Yu smiled, ending his game before responding, "He's Ultron."
"Ul...tron?" Stark repeated, stunned. He asked again, as though to confirm, "You're saying he's Ultron?"
Han Yu nodded, indicating Stark hadn't misheard.
Stark turned abruptly to look at Ultron, who was engrossed in his research. He didn't think this was just a case of coincidental naming, but he still found it hard to believe. Pointing at Ultron, Stark said, "But… Ultron is a robot. He's clearly human now!"
Ultron's current body, crafted with the mystical techniques of the Heavenly Demon Puppet, appeared entirely human, both internally and externally. Saying he was Ultron was hard for Stark to accept.
Han Yu found Stark's reaction unsurprising. Chuckling lightly, he explained, "He was a robot. But I gave him a human body and transferred his consciousness into it. He's human now. And don't worry—I didn't kill anyone to make it happen."
Even Charles was astonished. Ultron was originally a robot? And Han Yu transferred his consciousness into a human body? This level of technology was unheard of on Earth.
If word got out, it would undoubtedly shake the scientific community to its core.
"That aside, there's something I want to discuss with you both," Han Yu said, waving a hand in front of the dazed pair to snap them back to attention.
"Go on," Charles said.
"I'm planning to form a new organization—the Green Lantern Corps," Han Yu began. "Its purpose is to handle situations like today's with the Hulk. But it won't be limited to Earth—it will extend to the entire universe. I'm currently recruiting members, and Thor and Loki have already joined. How about you two? Would you consider becoming consultants or something similar?"
Han Yu's words left Charles and Stark stunned. Forming an organization on Earth was one thing, but Han Yu was talking about expanding into the universe. With Thor and Loki already on board, it didn't seem like he was joking.
But the idea of operating on a cosmic scale was almost unbelievable. Solving problems on Earth was challenging enough, and now Han Yu was suggesting they venture into the universe.
It's the universe we're talking about, not a two-bedroom apartment. Right now, Earth's technology hasn't even allowed them to encounter other planets, let alone protect them or face cosmic-level threats.
Before Han Yu mentioned this, neither Charles nor Stark had ever considered the idea. If someone else had brought it up, they would have thought that person was crazy—how could something like that even be possible?
But when Han Yu himself said it, everything changed. If he said it, it was serious. If they mocked him, they'd likely end up with a real slap in the face, because Han Yu could actually make it happen.
"How do you plan on doing it?" Stark asked. "What's the plan?"
"I plan to gather people and then send teams to other planets to negotiate, interact with the advanced planets that manage other sectors of the universe, and make our identity clear. We'll take charge of things there. We need to control the intelligence network, so when things happen, we'll be in the driver's seat, not the passenger's," Han Yu explained.
Charles asked, "But the universe is so vast. Once you go out, it's measured in light-years. The information relayed by technology would take years to arrive. With such a long delay, if something happens, by the time we get the news, the enemy could have already cleaned up. How will we solve that problem?"
That was indeed a valid concern. In any battle, communication is a critical strategic tool.
Only by having information on the enemy's numbers, locations, and movements can you plan better offense and defense strategies. Like Charles said, if it takes years for news to travel back and forth...
When something happens, first off, who knows if it can be solved at all? Even just getting the message there might take years, and by then, everyone might be long gone.
"You don't need to worry about that. I already have a solution," Han Yu said with a smile. He raised his hand and used Green Lantern energy to form a green lantern ring. "As long as this ring is worn, the holder can communicate with others in real-time across planets, just like how our phones work. And typically, there's no such thing as no signal."
Stark took the ring. He never expected the Green Lantern ring to have this ability—it was almost supernatural.
Communication that ignores distance? In war, the impact on the enemy would be unimaginable.
A precise, accurate strategic message could completely change the course of a battlefield. It's something that must be had.
Without it, you're blindly fighting. No matter how strong your firepower, it can't match an enemy's surprise attack from behind.
"So, what do you think? Will you join?"
Seeing how much Stark admired the ring, Han Yu smiled and asked.
"I'll join. How could I not? This sounds like way too much fun," Stark said. His personality was such that the more dangerous something seemed, the more he wanted to do it. His curiosity and desire for challenges had driven him to create so many sets of Iron Man armor.
Han Yu looked at Charles, who paused for a moment before nodding.
"For the sake of our school for mutants, if there's a big opportunity, we should definitely take it."
