"Haha, good! If you can join, that couldn't be better. Asgard will also provide us with some members, and we'll have to select suitable people from Earth as well. Otherwise, it'll be hard to form a full corps," Han Yu said.
"I get the reasoning," Stark nodded but then asked, "But why are we calling it the Green Lantern Corps? From what you said, this ring is meant to be the standard weapon for the corps, but it's just a ring, not a lantern. Sure, it's green, but why not call it the Green Ring Corps?"
Han Yu felt as though he had taken an arrow to the knee. How should he explain this?
Stark's question did make sense. To them, the ring appeared to be just a ring—there was no sign of any lantern. Calling it the Green Lantern Corps was indeed a bit odd.
Han Yu's eyes darted around before he naturally replied, "Because once the corps is formed, I'll create a lantern for each member. The energy in the Green Lantern rings isn't unlimited; the rings will eventually run out of power."
"When that happens, you'll need the lantern to recharge the ring. The lanterns themselves also won't have infinite energy. If the lantern runs out, you'll need to return to Earth's headquarters to replenish the energy."
"Based on my estimates, a fully charged lantern can sustain a member on normal cosmic patrols, including combat, for about ten years."
Hearing this, Stark and Charles exchanged glances. They found this arrangement quite reasonable. When Han Yu mentioned the rings needed recharging, they immediately thought of the pros and cons involved.
On the positive side, this mechanism would make it easier to manage each member of the Green Lantern Corps. From Han Yu's earlier statements, it was clear that the corps would eventually operate across the universe. Given the vastness of space, if members used Green Lantern energy recklessly, it could become a disaster for other planets.
By requiring periodic recharging, their energy usage could be effectively regulated. It also provided an opportunity for face-to-face meetings to report on activities.
Some matters are best addressed in person.
Seeing that Stark and Charles had no objections, Han Yu continued, "There's one more thing. Since we're forming a corps, we'll need standard uniforms. Stark, will you help me design them?"
This area wasn't Charles' expertise, so Han Yu only directed the question to Stark.
"Sure! What kind of design are you thinking?" Stark's interest was piqued. Designing uniforms was right up his alley—after all, he was Iron Man.
Han Yu rubbed his chin, deep in thought. If they were to stick to the original Green Lantern Corps' tight suit design, it felt too plain and didn't offer much in terms of defense. He wanted something more comprehensive, a uniform that could provide full-body protection.
Suddenly, an idea struck him—his Decade transformation belt!
If Stark and the others' equipment could be turned into Rider Cards, they would only need to carry the transformation belt. All the gear could be stored in the card slot of the belt, and they could simply insert the card they needed into the belt's core.
This way, members of the Green Lantern Corps could even share a set of equipment, as Rider Cards could be produced in unlimited quantities.
Han Yu grew excited at the thought. What a formidable force that would be!
He quickly took out the Decade belt, handed it to Stark, and said, "I think this is a great idea. We can mass-produce this and distribute it to everyone."
"What is this?"
Stark took the Decade belt. To him, it looked like an ordinary white box, albeit one that could unfold vertically. It didn't seem remarkable at all.
Han Yu was about to demonstrate a transformation but quickly realized he didn't have the main Rider card for Decade or any other Kamen Rider cards. He said, "How about this—you come with me. I'll show you how this thing works, and then we can start developing it ourselves. I guarantee its capabilities will blow your mind."
Hearing Han Yu's confidence, Stark immediately agreed.
The two discussed for a moment, and Han Yu suggested, "Why wait? Let's leave right now." He turned to Ultron and asked, "How's it going here? How much longer do you need?"
Ultron replied, "If nothing unexpected happens, I'll have it done in under two hours."
Han Yu nodded. "We're heading out. Once the antidote serum is ready, contact Steve and administer it together. Don't forget to inject Banner as well. After Banner regains consciousness, just let me know where he is. He can go wherever he wants."
Ultron nodded and made an "OK" gesture with his hand.
"Looks like things are wrapping up here. I guess you don't need me anymore?" Charles asked.
Han Yu stepped forward, shook his hand, and said, "You can head back now. Thank you for your help today."
Charles awkwardly rubbed his nose and replied, "I didn't do much, but if you need me in the future, just give me a call. I'll come right away."
He even mimed a phone call gesture with his hand.
Han Yu smiled and nodded. Then, he and Stark accompanied Charles to the airport.
After seeing Charles off, Han Yu and Stark were in the airport parking lot. Just as Stark was about to start his car, Han Yu stopped him. "We don't need to drive back to the shop. We can leave right now. I have a teleportation scroll."
With a flash of light, a scroll appeared in Han Yu's hand. It was a portal scroll to the Decade world.
"Well, that's convenient. Let's do it. I'm ready," Stark said.
Han Yu nodded, confirmed the scroll's destination, and activated it. The two of them disappeared from the car in an instant.
A passing driver saw the scene and did a double-take. His eyes widened in disbelief as he muttered, "Did I just imagine that? It looked like two people vanished from that car!"
He walked over to check and found the car completely empty.
"Seeing ghosts!" he exclaimed in shock.
