The hooded dark figure was somewhere in a forest. He was seated reading the book before it started to chant; nothing happened, and he became frustrated. He kept looking at the book, about everything he did. He chanted again, and he thought before a small robin came out.
He was angered. A powerful mage such as himself and a small useless bird were the limit of him. The figure started to read; there were two sections, one called "dimensional binding" and the other called "Eidolon Genesis" he started with the dimensional binding.
"Dimensional binding is the magical act of using magic to bring animals using spatial linking." The person sat back as they read this. They then attempted to summon a whole person, a dumb idea, but nothing happened.
"The book says objects, animals and matter. Are humans, not animals?!" They yelled as they stared down the book in a fit of rage, "Are humans not matter?!" He felt insulted, it was like the universe was laughing at him for not understanding this simple spell.
He stared it down as it said something else, "Humanoids are the only exception to this ability. However, the logistics behind it is the idea that Humanoids have natural anti-spatial protection, that naturally evolved into their existence."
He looked annoyed as he read through the book even more. "You summon via this phrase and thought with the magic to do so: Come to me, here and now, by this bill, to make this link." He repeated the words and thought of something, anything; he summoned, with his words, a fly. Or did he?
He didn't want a fly, he tried to summon a great mighty mountain lion, then the idea came to him which made him want to drop the whole thing. Did he have to be focused and have a clear mind to make a summon? He did.
