Chapter 59 - Columbus a load of bull

James and Cailian pulled the ropes at his legs. Matilda was able to grab the other rope as it swung back around and pulled tightly.

Micah pulled her rope as Columbus fell into the mud!

We thought we had him; he was down on the ground. But we were too close to the fire, and the Embers burnt the ropes, releasing him once more.

I jumped on top of Josh's back as he soared into the air above Columbus's head, just as it was originally planned. I jumped off the side of him, and with the back of the hilt of my sword, I slammed it into the skull of the bull. He Came Crashing Down to the crest of the Earth, breaking open part of the ground.

From where he lay, he slowly reverted back to his human form as steam rolled off his body.

"Did you kill him? Matilda asked?"

I kneeled there with my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. "No," I huffed windedly. Don't you know bulls have hard heads? "I smirked. Let's tie them up, get them out of here, and get some answers!"
