Everyone in the room turned to look at the entrance. Anthony had arrived.
He walked in purposefully, still holding his phone. Without delay, he grabbed Robert's arm, forcing him to let go of me. Then he turned to me and asked gently, "Are you alright?"
I shook my head. A sense of relief came over me as he softly placed his hand on my shoulder. For the first time that night, I felt secure and protected as I leaned against his strong frame.
He lightly put his arm around me and said coolly, "Young Master Lockman, what exactly do you think you're doing, holding onto my fiancée and talking nonsense? Let me make it clear that our wedding is none of your business. If she wants pearls or diamonds, that's her choice, and frankly, you should keep your thoughts to yourself."
