Training routine

I walked over to them and called out, "Hey, doofusies, wake up! It's time for some fun!"

They both shot up in a panic. "What happened?!" they asked, their voices overlapping.

I smirked. "Relax, I was just waking you guys up for breakfast and the daily routine."

Alia seemed less surprised, already used to my antics, but Kai rubbed his eyes and asked, "What routine?"

"You'll know soon enough," I said with a grin. "Just wait a second."

"Is it something like exercise? Because I think I should do that if I'm kind of weak," Kai said, looking curious.

I nodded with a small smile. "Yeah, it's just like that. A little exercise and all. You'll be fine."

On the other side, Alia crossed her arms with a mischievous grin. "Just a little exercise? Oh, Mr. Kai, if only you knew. You're doomed."

And so, the difficult exercise for Kai began. It was clear from the start that he was far from athletic. I suspected he had been a gamer before the apocalypse—his lack of a social life and his untrained, unfit body gave it away. This made the routine especially tough for him.

For me and Alia, it was easy. We'd been doing these exercises every day in the domain and staying active even outside. But Kai? Not so much.

Alia couldn't resist teasing him. "Are you tired, Mr. Kaiiii? So weak, hehe," she said with a sly grin, clearly enjoying his struggles.

I was there too, occasionally teasing him but mostly offering encouragement. "Come on, Kai, you've got this! Just one more set—you're stronger than you think!" I said, giving him a reassuring smile.

My plan was simple: over the next 25 days, I would figure out what Kai was naturally good at. I already knew Alia excelled in strategy and defense—she had a knack for thinking ahead and planning effectively. As for me, I was decent at both offense and defense, but my real specialties were hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship.

From my observations so far, it seemed that Kai's strength might lie in shooting and handling guns. He wasn't particularly strong or fast, but his focus and precision were promising signs.

Some days passed in the domain, and I decided it was time to share my thoughts with Kai.

"I think you should choose shooting over other things. You have a very good eye for it," I said, voicing my observation.

Kai's face lit up with a rare happiness. "Yeah, I've always liked shooting. I've tried it before, and I do it a lot in games too," he said, clearly pleased with the compliment.

"I thought you were a gamer," I replied with a small smile.

He looked at me with curiosity. "How do you think that?"

"Just by observing you," I said.

His cheeks turned slightly pink, and he gave a shy smile.

"Do you have any particular hobbies then?" I asked.

He hesitated before replying, "No, not really. I used to read books and do some other things, but not anymore."

"Is there a particular reason why you stopped reading?" he asked, curious.

I hesitated for a moment before responding. "No, no... Well, actually, there was a reason," I said, looking away. "I don't feel the same happiness in books that I used to. I left it behind because I started thinking... everyone in those books seemed so happy. But in reality, nobody's that happy. I realized it was just an imaginary world, and I shouldn't dig too deep into it. It would just hurt me, so I let it go."

With that, I turned and walked away, not wanting to dwell on the past any longer.

( Conversation between Kai and Alia)

Alia approached Kai, sensing a shift in his thoughts.

"Kai, don't you think Zira sometimes seems too sad, but still puts on a smile for us? Like she's hiding something, something she doesn't want to share?" he asked, his tone thoughtful.

Alia nodded, her eyes slightly clouded with concern. "Yes, since I've been living with her, sometimes I feel like she's... a bit strange. She dwells in past memories and often just gets lost in silence. It's kind of weird, you know?"

Kai sighed, his gaze distant. "I don't know what's making her sad, but I really wish her bad memories would just go away. She deserves to be happy."

Alia gave him a playful look, raising an eyebrow. "I have a question for you."

Kai turned to her, curious. "What's that?"

"Do you like her? No matter what, I'm not giving her to you," Alia teased.

Kai blushed, quickly shaking his head. "Nah, I don't like her in that way. She's as much a friend to you as she is to me."

Alia grinned mischievously. "Yah, yah, but she likes me more!" she teased, sticking out her tongue playfully.

Finally, the time passed, and they decided to go out. In the real world, about 10 days had passed, the challenge was over, and the losers had been eliminated.

Eww there's a lot of blood everywhere Alia said grossed due to body lying around
