Mia called Sakura last minute saying that she couldn't come to college because she was too scared. Sakura didn't argue, simply glancing at the names Mia had sent her.
The names of the girls who had been bullying her: Katy Goda and Himari Enomoto. As soon as Sakura saw the names on her phone, a flicker of confusion crossed her face, quickly replaced by pure, seething anger. She had always believed Mia was close to them, but now she was left questioning everything.
Sakura rushed to Historia university, determined to confront the two girls. She didn't bother with makeup; today wasn't about appearance—it was about making sure Mia's bullies faced consequences. Upon arriving at the campus, she spotted Katy and Himari standing near the entrance, as if they owned the place.
"Katy! Himari!" Sakura called out, her dark brown hair catching the light as she sprinted toward them, her fury propelling her forward.
Katy's eyebrows arched in surprise, her arms crossed in a defensive stance. "What's going on, Sakura?" she asked coolly.
…
As Kei passed by a group of girls, he winked, and their laughter followed him like a trail of sparks. Haru sighed, clearly irritated.
"Do you really have to do that every time?" Haru muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose in exasperation.
Kei grinned, his hands resting casually behind his head. "There's nothing wrong with acknowledging how good-looking you are," he said with a carefree shrug. "Maybe you should try it with Sakura," he teased.
Haru's face reddened slightly, his discomfort evident. "Shut up," he muttered under his breath, though he kept his cool outwardly.
"What is it about Sakura that you like, anyway?" Kei asked, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Why do you care?" Haru replied, frustration creeping into his tone as he looked away.
"Because you—"
Before Kei could finish, a loud voice interrupted them.
"What did you say!" a girl shouted.
Both Kei and Haru turned to see a commotion near a growing crowd of students.
"Sakura?" Haru whispered to himself, his frown deepening as he moved closer to the scene.
Sakura's voice rang out with authority. "Apologise to Mia for bullying her!" Her sharp gaze pinned Katy and Himari in place, her anger practically radiating.
"It was just a harmless prank! We didn't mean to hurt her," Himari defended weakly.
Sakura's glare intensified. "What exactly did you do?"
The two girls exchanged a nervous glance, then Katy hesitantly spoke up. "We just told Haru Soma that Mia has a crush on him."
Immediately, Kei's attention snapped to Haru, and a tension seemed to hang in the air. Haru remained silent, though a flicker of confusion crossed his face. He didn't remember either of those girls ever saying such a thing. Maybe I just forgot, Haru thought, though something felt off.
"That's obviously a lie," Sakura shot back, standing tall. "Why would Mia tell you who her crush is and not tell me, her best friend?" Her voice was unwavering, and there was no room for doubt. Mia tells me everything, she thought, recalling Mia's confession of her love for Haru to her in her previous life.
"That's because Mia suspected you have a thing for Haru too!" Katy blurted out.
