Cracks in the Park

Chapter 10

As if Dante knew what she was thinking, he faced her and put his hand on her shoulder. 

"Just put your mind at rest, whatever happens, I will surely take care of it." He said. 

With that, they went back to the house. On getting to Lucia's room, Kain faced her. 

"They will bring your food, you need to eat and rest well so that you will have the strength for tomorrow." He said. 

As he left, all through the night, Lucia did not sleep as she was thinking about everything that is happening to her, the night was really restless. 

In the morning, Kain entered without knocking. 

"We must leave for the meeting now." he said, and they both left the house for the meeting. 

On getting to the lodge, it was filled with so much silence that was really uneasy as the pack gathered. 

Lucia stayed at the side of the room, feeling the heavy weight of their look on her like some big stones on her chest.
