Allies and Enemies

Chapter 59: Allies and Enemies

The war hall was filled with much tension so thick that it could be cut.

The room that was once a place of strategy and control, now felt really choking and suffocating with the weight of various uncertainty.

Kain was standing at the center, his arms were crossed tightly over his chest, his sharp gaze was sweeping over the gathered Alphas and pack leaders that were before him.

Most of them had arrived just reluctantly, their faces were unreadable, their scents were already showing signs of unease that was in them.

Some, like Alpha Raith from the northern packs, was sitting stiff-backed, his dark eyes were really narrowed with so much suspicion.

Others, like Helena of the Crimson Moon Pack, had their arms folded, their lips were pressed into thin lines.

Kain knew exactly what they were thinking. They were very afraid. And which is right for them to be.
