On the eve of the grand wedding, Xavion suddenly showed up in New York City to find me.
He was wearing a black coat, his eyes deep and brooding, looking much older and more haggard than before.
I initially wanted to avoid him, but he blocked my path.
"Jade, please hear me out..." he said urgently.
I tried to shake off his grip, but he held on tightly.
I had no choice but to take out a wet wipe, clean my wrist, and throw it at him in disgust.
Xavion's face instantly darkened: "Jade, you... you despise me?"
I rolled my eyes: "I'm a germaphobe, okay?"
Xavion said reluctantly: "Jade, I was wrong! Give me one more chance, please!"
As he spoke, he pulled out a diamond ring from his pocket and got down on one knee.
"Jade, will you marry me? I promise to be devoted to you from now on!" He gazed at me passionately.
Looking at the diamond ring in his hand, I found it glaring.
"Xavion, get up. I won't give you another chance," I said coldly.
