I was indeed caught off-guard by Cassandra’s gift especially the thoughtful gesture behind it. To craft something entirely of leather was a skill I didn’t know she had, the only skill she seemed to have, was being a spoiled brat.
They were smooth with a subtle sheen, but the true testament is if they fit and to my utter astonishment – they do. They were perfectly tailored to fit my hands, and I wanted to despise them because of the creator.
Except I couldn’t. Apart of me softened for her, a sliver of respect extending towards Cassandra, maybe I’ve judged her all wrong. These gloves changed the way I viewed her. “This is an extraordinary gift.” I praised, “One of my favourites and your sincerity behind the gesture is much appreciated.”
