Chapter 153 The Kingdom Has Fallen

A new shipment of food and survival essentials were arriving today at the Port, another way to compensate for the losses of the people and the Kingdom. When I arrived, it was erased, leaving nothing in the wreckage aside from dust and death.

Everything was destroyed, lives were taken once again.

“Where are they?” I asked Christian, scanning the empty surroundings of rubble.

His eyebrows drew together as he scowled. “According to the report, it’s a group of fifteen and they disappeared after the bomb went off.”

Shaking my head and grinding my teeth, the incompetence stemmed from me and seeped into my people. “How did they not see it at the gates?” I gritted out, attempting to suppress the rage bubbling to the surface.

Quelling this fire seemed impossible as I snapped, “We check everything that comes in!”

“Clearly, they weren’t thorough.” Christian responded bitterly.
