Leona held down her instinctive feeling of revulsion and held onto the ice fuckers clothes once more before disappearing to a different location. She appeared once more in a private unoccupied room in a restaurant immediately setting up a noise-canceling barrier.
She paused her motion as she felt a tug in her subconscious and let out a cold chuckle. Her clone has been caught. A mental sweep at the clothing area was enough to confirm that fact. Some armed men held her clone and her friends at gunpoint, shoving them roughly to join the rest in the hallway.
Things were heading in the right direction. She went back to the mission on hand, grabbing and pulling up the knocked-out Ice fucked as her left hand pulled a mystery pill from her space. A kick in the midsection was enough incentive to have him open his mouth wide for her to flick the pill down his throat.
Ice fucker gagged trying to throw up the suspicious pill without success, he only succeeded in pulling at his fresh injuries and irritating the annoyed Leona. "You should be glad you are still of some use, else you'd be on your way down to limbo."
Ice fucker froze instantly, filled with terror at the sound of the indifferent voice above him. In that moment, even his soul-wrenching pain was forgotten. His race believed that when a person died, their soul was drawn into a different realm known as limbo, drifting aimlessly without end. He wanted to know what she had just fed him, but he didn't dare to question her, knowing that would only hasten his demise. He genuinely regretted his earlier arrogance; if he could turn back time, he would have run away at the first sight of her.
"You might be wondering what I just fed you, but don't worry—I don't want you to perish just yet," she said casually as she settled into a chair and crossed her long legs.
He didn't know what to think, should be grateful or terrified. He chose terrified, he made a grave blunder to earn this aberration's ire. In his defense, he had thought she'd be rendered powerless like the rest but who knew she'd prove to be an oddity as a result their barrier was ineffective against her! That negation barrier was supposed to be effective against tier 4 abilities and below! She was supposed to be rendered powerless as a tier 3 mutant! Wham! His ears were sent ringing at the hot slap that brought him out of his daze, he spat out the blood that had accumulated in his mouth raising his head to peer out of his swollen eyes at her in fear. "Please," he begged subserviently.
Pouty lips were her only response to him as she watched him silently, unnerving him until wild thoughts began to creep in, and questions began to rattle in his shaken brain as he guessed at her motive for apprehending him. She spoke before his thoughts could run amok. "I'll only say this once, so please listen or I'll be forced to make you… " she let her words trail off, giving him time to ponder and assimilate her words. "I want you to tell me why you guys are here, don't lie to me—you won't be able to, so for your sake—don't," she said coolly.
"I have no notion of what you are talking about. We're just thieves who broke in for a quick heist." with gritted teeth he bit back, death was the only result of anyone who betrays the Enlightened- a sudden wave of pain hit, and he let out a bone-chilling scream as he felt like his tendons and bones were being ripped out of his flesh simultaneously.
Leona frowned at the piercing scream, glad to have sealed off the room beforehand, but this—her eardrums were about to burst from the high-pitched scream. Is he still a man? What an embarrassment for a grown adult male to be screaming like a little girl. So shameful.
She immediately drew a symbol, isolating herself from the screaming banshee before her, after a while, Ice fuckers throat grew hoarse and his breath weakened as he lay on the floor barely breathing. She finally let down the barrier and flicked a pill straight into the open gasping mouth of the dead fish before her.
He quickly regains a bit of strength, not enough to stand up but enough to keep him alive and conscious. "Are you ready to speak now or shall we continue? The pill I just gave you is the honesty pill, anytime you lie it will send signals to your pain receptors, making you feel the most heart-rending pain, even resulting in death." She spoke with indifference dripping from her tone like an icy bath on a cold winter's night.
"Y-yes, please spare me, I'll tell you all you need to know please have mercy." He rasped out in a rush, praying for a quick death after he had finished telling her what she wanted to know. Although he was not particularly interested in the rumors flying around about the Wild one, he knew enough to know that it was better for him to give her what she wanted than for her to pry it out of his mouth, just a small taste of her methods had him almost dead he couldn't bear more. As for the end that awaited him for betraying the Enlightened, he had to be alive first and foremost to fear their punishment.
"I like smart people. So let's hear it, tell me everything." She finally smiled for the first time.
"The truth is, I really don't know what our mission entails. All I know is that we were sent to capture someone, but I have no idea who it is. I'm not qualified to assess that kind of information. Please, I've told you everything I know. My only request is that you make my death a quick one." He closed his eyes, awaiting his inevitable fate, but to his surprise, she simply stood up and walked past him. "Huh?" he sputtered, flabbergasted by her actions.
"I won't dirty my hands with your blood." She said indifferently. It was not like she trusted the pill, the pill was real but it was just a hoarse. Her empathetic ability could detect and even read a person's emotions. Nobody could cheat her.
"Aren't you afraid I'll alert my companions or that I lied to you?" He inquired with uncertainty.
"Of course I'm afraid." She replied calmly. She was in a good mood haven gotten what she wanted.
"So why?" He asked incredulously looking at her like she was an idiot.
"Why? It's because the pill I just gave you had other side effects, I guess I forgot to mention it, in about 3 seconds you'll be reduced to a dummy and naturally will pose no threat." Her cold voice narrated calmly like she was commenting on the weather. No sooner than she finished her words, his eyes glazed over and he started giggling naively.
Well that was a letdown, anyways who's next. She thought as she scanned the floor for her subsequent prey.
