Present Time,
ZEDA'S POV
A soothing fragrance and the sincere pleas of a man were what I woke up to.
I opened my eyes and almost shut them immediately. The sight of light was almost blinding and it was just normal daylight and not sunlight.
‘How long have I been out?’
I could only wonder how long my body was going to be able to take the fragility of my system.
Since I came to the mansion, it has been so easy for me to break down, and as much as I was grateful that I had people who were looking out for me, I was beginning to feel like a burden.
Looking around the circumference my eyes could accommodate, I could tell I was in the mansion's clinic.
I sighed when the pleas of the man behind the door increased and I could tell that those pleas could turn into tears soon. A grown man would soon begin to cry!
As I sat upright, I placed my hand by the side of my head like that would decrease the throbbing pain I was feeling.
