ZEDA'S POV
I cleared my throat and squirmed lightly on the bed I was seated on.
After Julian had left, I felt like the strength in my knees had been zapped off of me and I quickly held onto the bed for support.
Now I was sitting while Mr Ragnar was looking down at me, waiting for my explanation.
“I know you do not want him as my bodyguard anymore because you feel he might be incompetent but I want you to understand that he isn't.
He wasn't the reason the attack happened and he wasn't by my side when those girls began to act the way they did”
He said nothing for about two heartbeats.
“I want only the best for you, Zeda, and right now he isn't,” He replied curtly.
That's a little new!
He is actually using his mouth rather than that aura-tingy he does to communicate.
“Receiving the best of everything can make us lose sight of what is right and normal. Sometimes the best is not what we need. And right now, the best is not what I need.
