The large turtle was incredibly heavy—just as imposing as it looked. It was, after all, a massive creature that resembled a stone.
However, this wasn’t a problem for Oliver and his companions, as they stumbled upon a passing merchant caravan. Oliver paid a gold coin to rent one of the wagons, specifically to haul this heavy burden.
To be honest, Oliver would have preferred a different approach—he’d have liked to have Kitty carry the stone-like turtle back to Glensorne. After all, Kitty could fly, and traveling back would have been much quicker.
But the turtle was simply too heavy, and Oliver feared it might hinder Kitty’s flight. If something went wrong, it could end up disastrous.
Thus, the journey back took longer than it had on the way out. After a full day’s travel, they finally returned to Glensorne.
It goes without saying—they were once again met with a warm reception.
