"Kadabra, it's up to you!"
As soon as Tyson's command rang out, Kadabra's psychic powers surged into the water, creating a series of ripples that stirred the once-calm surface.
Before long, the water Pokémon living there grew agitated. With splashes echoing through the cavern, they emerged to confront the source of the disturbance: two Poliwhirl, a Poliwag, and several Goldeen leapt out of the water, scanning the area for the culprit.
"Mankey, take on that Poliwag."
"Eevee, you're responsible for handling the two Poliwhirl and assisting Kadabra in dealing with the Goldeen in the water," Tyson instructed calmly, his mind racing to strategize.
The system had already analyzed the Pokémon's strength, allowing Tyson to assign roles effectively. Eevee, who had recently broken through to the advanced level, was more than capable of dealing with the two Poliwhirl and lending support to Kadabra.
"Mankey, stick to the usual plan. Use Focus Energy to charge in, then follow up with Leer and Fury Swipes!"
Kadabra activated its Telepathy ability, enhancing Tyson's ability to issue precise commands to the team.
"Eevee, suppress those Poliwhirl with a barrage of Shadow Ball attacks!"
"Kadabra, teleport above the water and attack with Confusion. Stay alert and ready to teleport out as needed," Tyson added.
The team sprang into action. Eevee released two Shadow Balls, which streaked toward the Poliwhirl. The Mankey dashed forward, brimming with Focus Energy, its momentum unsettling the Poliwag. Meanwhile, Kadabra vanished and reappeared above the water, unleashing a dazzling Confusion that illuminated the cavern with rainbow hues.
The Goldeen swam rapidly to evade the psychic assault, countering with Water Pulse attacks. Tyson's strategy unfolded seamlessly.
The Mankey closed in on the Poliwag and landed a punch, its Leer intimidating the Poliwag and lowering its defenses. Swiftly following up with Fury Swipes, the Mankey Pokémon left the Poliwag battered and unable to continue.
"Mankey, assist Eevee with the Poliwhirl!" Tyson called out.
Eevee, meanwhile, dashed toward the Poliwhirl with Quick Attack. The first Poliwhirl took a direct hit from a Shadow Ball, while Eevee used Wish and followed up with Swift, unleashing a flurry of stars against the second Poliwhirl. A final Tackle sealed the battle.
Meanwhile, Kadabra, dancing between the Goldeen with Teleport, continued to harass them with Confusion. The Goldeen, overwhelmed, faltered as one of them succumbed to a well-coordinated Shadow Ball from Eevee and a finishing blow from Kadabra's Confusion.
"Kadabra, draw the remaining Goldeen closer to the shore. Mankey, prepare Leer. Eevee, get ready to launch Shadow Ball at the lead Goldeen!"
The Goldeen, driven by anger after being outmaneuvered, charged toward the shore. A well-timed Leer from the Mankey slowed them down, allowing Eevee's Shadow Ball to strike true. The lead Goldeen fell, leaving the rest vulnerable to coordinated attacks.
Soon, the final two Goldeen were dispatched, collapsing into the water in defeat.
Tyson tossed Poké Balls to capture a Poliwhirl and two Goldeen, intending to send them to the Rocket Shadow Network for contribution points.
"It's not about building a team with them," Tyson murmured. "It's about sustainable trade."
Team Rocket's operations valued responsible resource management, and Pokémon like these, captured occasionally, contributed to Tyson's growing reputation within the organization.
As he finished securing the Poké Balls, a dark presence caught his attention. A shadowy attack sped toward Kadabra.
"Teleport and counter with Confusion!"
Tyson's voice was steady, though a knowing smile played on his lips.
Emerging from the shadows, a trainer stepped into the light. Yusuke's confident demeanor radiated arrogance, bolstered by his lineup: a Crobat, an Arbok, and a Poliwrath.
"So, you noticed me," Yusuke sneered. "Doesn't matter. This hunt is about to get more exciting."
Tyson's smile faded into a calm resolve.
"Sometimes, hunters forget that the roles of predator and prey can switch," he said.
With a flash, Tyson released Charizard. Its elite-level aura filled the cavern, causing Yusuke to hesitate. Charizard had been resting and training during the Mankey Pokémon battles, and now its fiery energy was at its peak.
"Let's see who the real prey is," Tyson said, his voice low but commanding.
