Chapter 23:A Difficult Decision

Aurélie's mind was racing with thoughts and emotions. She had never been in a situation like this before, and she didn't know what to do.

As she looked at Léon, she saw the fear and uncertainty in his eyes. She knew that he was scared, and that he was counting on her to support him.

But Aurélie was scared too. She was scared of what might happen if Léon's past caught up with him. She was scared of losing him, of being hurt by his secrets.

"Léon, we need to talk," Aurélie said, her voice firm but gentle.

Léon nodded, his eyes locked onto hers. "I know," he said. "I'm sorry, Aurélie. I'm so sorry for putting you in this position."

Aurélie took a step closer to him, her heart pounding in her chest. "Just tell me the truth, Léon," she said. "Tell me everything."

Léon took a deep breath, his eyes filling with tears. "Okay, Aurélie," he said. "I'll tell you everything."
