"You lost!"

Link Star leaned in close to Tahm Kench, his voice low as he released their handshake. His legs felt weak, as if they might give out at any moment. He had poured nearly 70-80% of his mana into Tahm, and the strain was evident. But the result was worth it. Within that mana, Link had mixed in all the soul fragments he could currently separate, ensuring a long-lasting and absolute control over the ancient demon.

"As expected of an ancient demon. I almost couldn't sustain the mana required to control him!" Link thought to himself, a hint of pride creeping into his mind. "And yet, my mana is powerful enough to dominate even a being like this. How terrifying am I?"

Tahm, on the other hand, looked dazed. He couldn't understand why he had suddenly sneezed in the middle of their confrontation. But the demon quickly regained his composure. He decided to play along, giving the boy a taste of victory before slowly weaving his own trap. Little did he know, he had already stepped into a pit dug by Link—one he might never climb out of.

"Well, boy, it seems luck is on your side today," Tahm said, his voice dripping with false cheer as he adjusted his coat. His grin was wide, but it didn't reach his eyes. "I'll honor our bet. What was it again? The loser has to do what?"

Link calmly pulled out a blank contract and a pen. "Just sign this," he said, his tone casual.

"Of course," Tahm replied, reaching for the contract. But Link stepped back, just out of reach.

"Not so fast," Link said, a sly smile playing on his lips. "There are a few details we need to add."

Tahm's eyes narrowed as Link began to write on the contract. The demon leaned in to read the words, and his eyes nearly bulged out of his head.

The contract stated:

"From this moment forward, the signee shall pledge absolute loyalty to Link Star Ferros, their master. The signee shall obey all commands without question, no matter how vile or degrading. Failure to comply will result in the most severe punishment imaginable. All interpretations of this contract belong solely to Link Star Ferros."

Tahm blinked, his mind reeling. This wasn't just a contract—it was a slavery agreement. His instincts screamed at him to refuse. He, Tahm Kench, would never sign such a thing! It was absurd, humiliating, and downright evil. Who did this boy think he was?

"I'm ready. Now it's your turn," Link said, his smile widening as he handed the contract back to Tahm.

"I refuse!" Tahm snarled, his voice booming. "You never said where I had to sign my name. I could write it anywhere, and it would still count!"

Link shook his head, his expression calm but firm. "I'm afraid you don't have a choice, Mr. Kench."

Tahm's eyes narrowed further. "So, you knew who I was all along?"

"Just a lucky guess," Link replied, his tone light.

Tahm's form began to shift, his body growing larger and more menacing. The air around them grew heavy with moisture, and the demon's voice echoed with a terrifying resonance. "You dare mock me, a mere mortal? You dare challenge a king of demons? The rivers will drown you, and you'll know true despair!"

Link, however, remained unfazed. He placed the contract and pen on the table, his hands casually slipping into his pockets. "Close your mouth," he said simply.

To Tahm's shock, his body obeyed. His massive jaws snapped shut, cutting off his tirade. He tried to speak, but only muffled sounds escaped.

"I told you, Tahm Kench," Link said, looking up at the demon with a cold smile. "You've lost. In every way possible."

Tahm's eyes burned with rage, but he couldn't move. Link's mana had taken complete control of his body.

"You're too big. Make yourself smaller. It's tiring to keep looking up at you," Link commanded.

Tahm's mind rebelled, but his body shrank obediently. The once towering demon was now no taller than Link.

"Your aura is too intimidating. Tone it down," Link added.

The oppressive energy surrounding Tahm vanished, leaving the demon feeling exposed and vulnerable.

"Now, sign the contract," Link said, his voice firm.

"No!" Tahm roared internally, but his hand moved against his will. He picked up the pen and scrawled his true name on the contract.

Link picked up the document, examining it with satisfaction. "Good. Now, smile for me."

Against his will, Tahm's lips stretched into a wide, goofy grin, his tongue lolling out like a happy dog. The demon's rage turned to confusion, then fear. What kind of power was this?

"Roll over," Link commanded.

Tahm dropped to the ground and rolled over, his body moving as if he were a trained pet.

"Dance."

The demon began to sway and twist, his tongue flapping as if it were part of some bizarre performance.

"Sing."

"La la la, Demacia!" Tahm sang, his voice filled with forced cheer.

"Do a backflip."

Tahm flipped through the air, landing clumsily on his feet.

"Fetch the grenade."

Link tossed a frozen grenade, and Tahm lunged after it like an eager dog. Before he could reach it, the grenade exploded, encasing him in ice.

"Alright," Link said, clapping his hands. "Now for the final test."

Tahm's heart sank as Link smirked. "Take off your coat and go flirt with an eighty-year-old on the street—"

"No! Please, no!" Tahm begged, his voice desperate. "Little ancestor, please stop! I'll do anything you ask, just don't make me do that!"

Link chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Good. Remember, you're mine now. And I don't take kindly to disobedience."

Tahm Kench, the River King, the demon who had once ruled the waters and devoured countless souls, now stood before a mortal boy, utterly defeated. And for the first time in his long, wretched existence, he felt true fear.
