Ming Yue wore her veil again, and they left Misty Pavilion.
Although Ming Yue had told him that they would reach Mountain Sword Sect the moment they left this mortal kingdom, he still didn't know how long they had to travel. He followed Ming Yue, and they arrived outside a big building.
It was quite crowded here, and every person present here was a cultivator. It looked like there were some areas in this city where mortals were not allowed to roam around.
Jiang Hao read the name of this building. It was Alchemy Hall.
He knew about Alchemy from the notes. Alchemy is a way of creating pills and elixirs from spirit herbs or some special parts of spirit beasts.
The value of an alchemist in the cultivation world is much higher than that of an ordinary cultivator of the same realm.
There were other professions like Talisman Maker, Weapon Refiner, and Array Master. They were all equally valuable in the cultivation world but alchemists were still valued more than them.
Everyone wants to increase their cultivation realm as quickly as possible. This was even more true for those cultivators who were ordinary and could only rely on pills to advance.
This was even truer in lower worlds, where the density of Qi was much lower compared to upper worlds. Even geniuses sometimes had to take pills to advance.
So, alchemists were highly famous in the cultivation world. Cultivators always tried to curry favors from them, as pills were very expensive and not many had the money to buy them.
Jiang Hao didn't know why they had come here instead of leaving the city, but he would find out soon, so he didn't ask about it.
They entered the Alchemy Hall. It was quite big. There were a lot of itinerant cultivators present here, and most of them were surrounding a board with a lot of white pages on it.He noticed carefully and found out that it was missions.
He understood everything. No wonder there was so much crowd here. Itinerant cultivators didn't have access to resources like cultivators who were part of sects.
Since the Alchemy Hall was providing that chance to them, it would be foolish for them to miss it.
Alchemists were not strong in combat, so hiring others to do tough jobs for them was the best situation, and that's what was happening here.
"You must be curious junior Brother Jiang, about us being here right?."
"I guess I truly am a little curious."
"Actually, this is the nearest Alchemy Hall branch for Mountain Sword Sect. Hence, Mountain Sword Sect comes here to purchase pills and elixirs.
Although we have alchemists too in our sect, we still purchase some pills and elixirs from here as well, because there are some pills which are only available in Alchemy Hall.
If we are lucky, we might meet the elder who is in charge of this matter. I don't know which elder it might be but every elder form Alchemy peak knew about me so we can easily tag along with them.
They come here daily, as some extraordinary pills appear daily due to the presence of Dark Forest. And these pills are auctioned in the evening, so we still have a chance to meet them if the auction has not ended yet."
Ming Yue and Jiang Hao reached the reception. The receptionist was a man in his twenties.
"Has the auction ended?"
Ming Yue asked him.
"No, but you cannot enter it now, since it has already started."
Ming Yue just nodded and backed away.
"Looks like we were lucky, Junior Brother. This way, we can reach the sect by today itself, as the elder will have a contracted beast with them."
Jiang Hao nodded when he heard that, but how big was the spirit beast to accommodate three people easily? He was curious to see it.
They waited for half an hour when some cultivators began to exit from inside the building.
Ming Yue looked around and found someone. She was surprised when she saw the person they were looking for. She moved towards her, and when the person saw her, she got surprised and looked a little relieved.
She was young and looked in her twenties, with fair skin. She was quite beautiful but not as beautiful as Ming Yue.
"You don't know how worried your master was when she heard that you were all alone in the wilderness with a boy," she immediately said to Ming Yue when she went to her side.
When Ming Yue heard that, her face became red.
"Aunt, please don't joke around like that."
When she heard the pleading voice of Ming Yue, she laughed and stopped teasing her.
"Ok, but it was really surprising to hear that you stayed out of the sect with someone.
After all, you don't even like to talk to your sect mates, and this was a totally strange person we are talking about."
Ming Yue sighed when she heard that. She knew that this matter wouldn't end easily.
Jiang Hao stood at his original position and didn't follow Ming Yue when she went to meet the elder.
After all, he trusted Ming Yue and knew her personality, but he had no knowledge of this elder. Also, he judged that she was so strong that she could kill him instantly. He might not even have a chance to activate his ring, so he waited at his original place.
Even though he stood at his original position, he could still hear their voices. His sense of hearing was too sharp, after all.
When he heard that, he sighed too. He and Senior Sister Ming Yue had nothing going on between them, but misunderstandings were the root of all major problems.
While he was thinking that, he heard Ming Yue mentioning him.
"Aunt, I wanted to bring Junior Brother Jiang to the sect with me."
When her Aunt heard that, she was surprised.
"Oh, so he is here. Let me see him."
Ming Yue brought her to Jiang Hao. Jiang Hao was still calm and greeted her.
"Greetings, Senior," he bowed to her.
"You really are quite young. A peak of Qi Refinement Realm at the age of 15 is an achievement indeed. So, you want to join Mountain Sword Sect?"
She asked Jiang Hao with a meaningful smile.
Jiang Hao wasn't sure what to make of this smile. Was she doing that because she thought he wanted to follow Ming Yue, or was his life in Mountain Sword Sect not going to be an easy one?
Jiang Hao could only laugh bitterly in response. He didn't want any of this, but no matter what he did now, it wouldn't change anything. He could only go with the flow for now.
"I do want to join Mountain Sword Sect, Senior," he replied calmly.
"Good, let's go then."
She was straight forward and Jaing Hao heaved sigh of relief when he heard that.
They left the Alchemy Hall and moved towards the city gates. This was the same gate from which he had entered the city when he arrived here.
After walking away from the city gate, they stopped. After two minutes of waiting, an eagle appeared in Jaing Hao's eyes and before he could think of anything it landed in front of him.
Jiang Hao was stunned. This eagle was too strong. The feeling he got from it was similar to this senior. He had no doubt it was a demon beast, but he couldn't figure out its cultivation realm.
The eagle was quite big too and was green in color. Let alone three, even ten people could sit on it easily.
The eagle lowered itself so that they could climb easily. When Jiang Hao saw that both of them climbed on it, he also jumped and climbed on it.
"Junior Brother, you should hold one of its feathers."
Jiang Hao listened to Ming Yue and grabbed one of the feathers. It was quite big, so it was easy to grab.
Once he settled down, he felt a jerk when it flapped its wing. They were already in the air with only one flap of its wings.
Before he could look down, he heard another flap. He felt intense wind pressure because their speed was truly very fast. He moved his eyes towards the city. It was so far away now that it looked like a dot.
The distance they covered in only two flaps of its wings was truly mind-blowing for him. No doubt he felt intense danger from the eagle. It was too powerful.
Nobody spoke during the flight. They might not have even hear the sound properly at this speed. They crossed mountains and rivers in seconds
If they had to walk, it would have definitely taken them quite a lot of time.
They flew for 30 minutes before a vast mountain range came into his view.
The strange thing was that there was a single mountain that was quite bigger than the other mountains. It was truly majestic in size.
He had a feeling that this mountain might be the place where Mountain Sword Sect was.
True enough, the eagle slowed down and landed at the bottom of this mountain.
He looked around and found that aside from the gate, which looked like the entrance to the mountain, nothing was present here.
"Junior Brother Jiang, those who want to join the sect have to climb the stairs behind this gate. It is the first test of Mountain Sword Sect," Ming Yue explained to him.
"You should climb these stairs. I will meet you at the top of these stairs."
He nodded to her and jumped off the eagle and looked towards the stairs.
"Good luck, Junior. Don't disappoint me."
"Thank you, Senior. I will definitely live up to your expectations."
"Good luck, Junior Brother."
"Thank you, Senior Sister."
After that, the eagle flew to the top of the mountain.
