Chapter 509: Snowy Commands the Field, the Nine-Tails Sparks Envy Among the Villages

Oh my god!

Was this level of chaos really necessary?

Hatake Sakumo, who had just reached Tsunade's side, stared at Takuya standing atop Snowy's head, his eyes wide in disbelief. But in the next instant, he snapped into action, rallying the nearby Anbu as he barked orders:

"Everyone, stay calm! Remain seated and don't panic!"

Takuya's sudden display had startled not only the shinobi from various villages but also the ordinary spectators. Left with no other option, Sakumo led the Anbu to maintain order.

Fortunately, everything had happened so abruptly that although the audience was frightened, widespread panic had yet to erupt. Sakumo's timely intervention ensured the situation remained under control, though some spectators were so terrified they nearly lost their composure—or worse.

If the tens of thousands of spectators had descended into chaos, it would have been disastrous.

At that moment, everyone was frozen in place, their bodies stiff with fear.

Their faces pale, the shinobi from Kumogakure and Iwagakure broke out in cold sweats as they stared at Snowy, whose massive form loomed like a mountain. Not a single person dared to move, afraid that Takuya might order Snowy to pounce on them.

Is this seriously a summoning beast?

The shinobi world wasn't short of powerful summoning creatures—like the snakes, toads, and slugs of the Three Great Sage Lands—but compared to Snowy, those creatures seemed almost ordinary.

Staring into Snowy's massive eyes, each as large as a house, anyone would lose their nerve.

"Kushina, quick! Let's join in!"

The Nine-Tails, ever eager to stir up trouble, urged gleefully.

"What? Us too?" Kushina, who had been on her way to assist, froze in disbelief.

"Of course! Now's the time to show our strength. We need to act tough!"

With the Nine-Tails egging her on, Kushina hesitated before reluctantly agreeing.

"Well... okay."

And so…

ROAR!!!

With an earth-shaking roar, a giant golden fox, slightly smaller than Snowy, appeared in the training ground. Thankfully, the area was expansive; otherwise, there wouldn't have been enough space to contain the two colossal beasts.

What the hell is going on? Another one?

Takuya's bold move with Snowy had already startled Tsunade. Now, with the sudden appearance of the Nine-Tails, she felt as though her heart was about to leap out of her chest.

The audience, already trembling at the sight of the two enormous foxes, stared upward in stunned silence, their minds completely numb.

"Stop yelling and behave!"

At this point, Kushina's inexperience was evident—controlling the Nine-Tails was still a work in progress. It was clearly the fox taking the lead.

Takuya cast a sharp glare at the Nine-Tails, and Snowy, unimpressed by the commotion, raised a massive paw and smacked the Nine-Tails square on the head.

THUD!

"What are you yelling for? Scare the audience again, and I'll deal with you myself!"

"..."

The Nine-Tails, who had just let out a triumphant roar, immediately tucked its tail in submission, curling up meekly without uttering another sound.

I want to go home…

The shinobi from Sunagakure, Iwagakure, Kumogakure, and Kirigakure all had the same thought at that moment: Konoha is too dangerous. Our villages are much safer. Who could deal with this?

For once, Tsunade felt oddly reassured. With such overwhelming reinforcements, there was no need to worry. The audience, though shaken to their cores, remained seated, too scared to move under the watchful eyes of the Anbu.

"Everyone," Takuya's voice carried across the field, calm yet commanding. "Whatever grudges you hold, they're none of Konoha's concern. But I won't tolerate those disputes erupting here. I trust you understand?"

"Ahem… yes, of course we understand," Yagura, the Mizukage, responded, a hint of unease in his tone. At the same time, he resolved to speed up his plans to capture the Three-Tails and Six-Tails.

The threat posed by tailed beasts is too great to ignore. We need to act quickly.

But Yagura's thoughts lingered on another issue: How is Konoha's Jinchūriki able to control the Nine-Tails so effectively?

From what he could see, Kushina had the Nine-Tails completely subdued. Even after being smacked, the beast didn't dare make a sound.

Is this really a summoning beast?

He could accept the Nine-Tails' power and ferocity, but what was Snowy? Since when did summoning beasts surpass tailed beasts in sheer terror?

"The Mizukage is right," Chiyo chimed in. "If there are any disputes, they should be resolved outside Konoha. Please don't drag us into this."

The tension in Tsunade's expression eased slightly.

Meanwhile, Dodai's face had turned pitch black, and Kitsuchi's wasn't much better. Faced with both Snowy and the Nine-Tails, they had no choice but to nod reluctantly. The other shinobi didn't even dare to speak, trembling visibly as they tried to maintain composure.

With the conflict defused, Takuya addressed the Nine-Tails.

"That's enough. You can return now."

"Wait… I just got here!"

Having just taken control, the Nine-Tails clearly wanted to stretch its legs rather than return to its sealed space. But before it could argue further, Snowy's sharp, menacing gaze silenced it.

Under Snowy's intimidating stare, the Nine-Tails' bravado evaporated. It quickly relinquished control to Kushina and retreated into the seal without another word.

Once the Nine-Tails had vanished, Snowy shrank back to her smaller form, leaping onto Takuya's shoulder.

Takuya, instead of returning to the field, controlled his landing to join Tsunade.

They fainted?

It was then that Takuya noticed the Daimyō and his entourage had already passed out from fright.

"Shall we continue the battle?" he asked, his gaze shifting to Dodai.

With A unconscious under Snowy's paw, Dodai was now Kumogakure's de facto representative.

Continue? Hell no!

Dodai suppressed the urge to curse as he waved for his subordinates to retrieve A. Gritting his teeth, he declared:

"Kumogakure concedes this battle. We admit defeat."

To prevent further trouble, Dodai even humbled himself further.

"Good," Takuya remarked, his tone tinged with disdain. "This farce of a battle was hardly entertaining."

After a brief pause, he added, "Now that the matter's settled, I'll be leaving. The Nine-Tails needs a lesson in proper behavior."

"Go ahead," Tsunade replied.

With the chaos finally subsiding, Tsunade could only sigh inwardly. The Nine-Tails really did need some discipline—Kushina wasn't the type to instigate trouble like this. The blame clearly lay with the Nine-Tails' penchant for stirring up chaos.

"Has Konoha discovered a way for Jinchūriki to coexist peacefully with their tailed beasts?"

This was an important revelation. From the Nine-Tails' appearance to its quick retreat at Takuya's command, it was evident Konoha had found a method to suppress and control tailed beasts effectively.

Tailed beasts were undeniably powerful. When paired with Jinchūriki, their combined strength could be devastating.

However, most villages—including Sunagakure, Kirigakure, and Iwagakure—had suffered greatly from tailed beast rampages over the years. Even Kumogakure, despite its experience, had faced calamity when the Eight-Tails went berserk a few years prior, wreaking havoc until the Third Raikage managed to subdue it.

Takuya's words sparked an idea in Chiyo's mind. If we can learn from Konoha and successfully control our tailed beasts…

Tsunade wasn't oblivious to Chiyo's intentions. It wasn't just Chiyo—Yagura, Kitsuchi, and Dodai were all harboring the same thoughts.

"This is classified information," Tsunade said with a sly smile. "I'm afraid it's not something we can share so easily."

"But…"

Classified, my foot. The truth was simple: the Nine-Tails had been beaten into submission, and Kushina had slowly earned its trust. It was a process impossible to replicate.

Would Tsunade reveal this? Of course not.

Instead, she dangled the prospect, intending to leverage it for Konoha's benefit.

"If your conditions are acceptable to Konoha, I can negotiate on behalf of the village," Chiyo quickly interjected.
