Chapter 612: The Cloud Village’s Jinchūriki Goes Berserk Again!

Despite Konoha's repeated warnings, the Cloud Village showed no intention of hiding their Jinchūriki.

Perhaps the Third Raikage was too confident, believing that with the full strength of his village, they could fend off any schemes from Black Zetsu and Uchiha Madara.

Unfortunately for him, he had no idea just how terrifying those two truly were.

To put it bluntly, he had yet to experience the harsh reality of the world.

Only after taking a real beating would he understand.

You hid my eyes? Fine. Then I'll take your village's Tailed Beast and see if that throws you into chaos.

Black Zetsu and Uchiha Madara had a clear objective—if the Cloud Village wouldn't stir up trouble on its own, they would make sure it did. Once chaos erupted, the opportunity to locate the Rinnegan would present itself.

And if they still couldn't find it?

Then Madara would simply bulldoze his way through, or Obito would unleash his full power.

With Kamui in both eyes and Black Zetsu's abilities, a fully manifested Susanoo was entirely within reach.

Obito's body contained White Zetsu's cells, so there was no need to worry about him burning out—he could be pushed to the absolute limit.

After all, thanks to those cells, Obito was incredibly durable.

"Yes, Lord Madara."

Black Zetsu bowed slightly and withdrew.

The command had been given. As Madara's will incarnate, he had to act.

The simplest way would have been for Madara to just charge in and obliterate the Cloud Village. But since Madara had no interest in such brute force methods, Black Zetsu would just have to put in a little extra effort.

As long as he could eventually bring Kaguya Ōtsutsuki back, he was willing to endure.

While Black Zetsu and Madara remained patient, the Cloud Village was starting to get restless.

They knew Madara would eventually make a move, so the entire village was on high alert. But as the days passed with no activity, that tension only worsened.

If an enemy showed up at your doorstep looking for a fight, you could at least brace yourself and prepare for battle.

But standing guard endlessly, waiting for an attack that never came?

That was torture.

You could be on the lookout for a thief for a thousand days, but a thief only needed one day to strike.

If Madara had simply attacked outright, the Cloud Village would have known what to expect.

But this endless waiting? It was driving them insane.

Inside the Raikage's office, the Third Raikage sat in his chair, looking thoroughly frustrated.

Anyone could see that the man—famed for having the strongest shield and the strongest spear—was absolutely seething, ready to explode like an active volcano.

"What does Konoha have to say about this?"

His patience was wearing thin. The Cloud Village, known for its aggressive warriors, had a fair share of hotheads—including the Third Raikage and his son.

Sitting around waiting for an enemy that refused to make a move? That was unbearable.

"Konoha reports that there's no new intel on Uchiha Madara. If you wish to investigate further, Lord Raikage, you could consider reassembling the Special Task Force."

"Investigate my ass!!!"

Hearing that, the Third Raikage couldn't hold back his anger.

"It wasn't easy to put that team together in the first place, and once it was disbanded, getting them all back is nearly impossible. Konoha doesn't want to get involved—otherwise, why did they hurry Jiraiya back?"

He slammed his fist against the desk.

"And that damn Ōnoki isn't any better!!!"

If Ōnoki hadn't recalled Kitsuchi, and if Konoha hadn't pulled Jiraiya back, the task force wouldn't have fallen apart.

The Mist and Sand Villages had no real say in the matter.

It had been Konoha, Iwa, and Kumo that were holding things together.

But with Iwa and Konoha pulling out, there was no way the Mist and Sand Villages would stick around to play along.

They weren't stupid—they weren't about to get themselves killed over this.

Jonin and Elite Jonin were the backbone of every village. Losing just one was painful—losing several was devastating.

Watching the Third Raikage fume, Dodai didn't know what to say.

Ōnoki's village had already lost the Rinnegan. Of course he was desperate.

Anyone would be.

"…Keep up the defenses," the Raikage finally ordered after venting his frustration.

As irritated as he was, there was no other choice but to stay vigilant.

Even though the waiting was driving him mad.

Meanwhile…

"Hmph, their defenses really are tight…"

Black Zetsu, guiding Obito, had successfully infiltrated the Cloud Village. With White Zetsu assisting, they began searching for the Jinchūriki.

The Cloud Village had two Jinchūriki.

Between them, the Eight-Tails' host was the more heavily guarded. The Third Raikage and A seemed to believe that Killer B had the potential to become a perfect Jinchūriki.

After their setback with Konoha, they had prioritized B's training.

Killer B had been undergoing special training for some time, and his presence in the village had become rare.

So Black Zetsu shifted his focus to the Two-Tails' host instead.

Compared to the formidable Eight-Tails, the Two-Tails would be an easier target.

Despite the Cloud Village's strict security, Black Zetsu and Obito's combined Kamui abilities rendered their defenses meaningless. They slipped past every barrier and patrol with ease.

The Third Raikage would have never imagined that instead of launching a full-scale assault, the enemy had silently infiltrated the village, searching for the Two-Tails' Jinchūriki right under their noses.

Konoha had already warned the other villages—Madara was targeting the Jinchūriki to capture the Tailed Beasts.

But none of them had taken the warning seriously.

Then, in less than thirty minutes…

A deafening explosion tore through the village.

A brilliant blue firestorm erupted into the sky, accompanied by the enraged roar of the Two-Tails and the agonized screams of its host.

Black Zetsu's plan was simple—find the Jinchūriki, strike swiftly, and disappear.

In the host's moment of shock, Obito phased through the attack, and before the Jinchūriki even realized what was happening, they had already sustained severe injuries.

With Kamui in both eyes and no fear of exhausting his Mangekyō Sharingan's abilities, Obito was absolutely ruthless.

And the one pulling his strings was Black Zetsu.

Even in the past, when Obito had only one Mangekyō, he had still managed to give Minato trouble.

Now, against an opponent who wasn't even close to Minato's level?

It wasn't even a contest.

The current Two-Tails' Jinchūriki wasn't the future Yūgito Nii.

At this point in time, she was just a child—years away from inheriting the role.

The previous Jinchūriki was still in place, but it didn't matter.

The moment they suffered critical damage, the seal wavered.

And the Two-Tails, which had never willingly accepted its captivity, saw its chance.

With Black Zetsu's assistance, it broke free.

The Two-Tails went on a rampage.

"What the hell…?"

It was a scene all too familiar.

Veteran shinobi who had survived past Tailed Beast outbreaks stood frozen, staring in horror.

A massive, mountain-sized entity was tearing through the village.

Not a single Tailed Beast was content being sealed.

The first thing any of them did upon breaking free?

Unleash their fury.

That was why the villages referred to such events as a "Tailed Beast rampage."

Once freed, the Tailed Beasts would stop at nothing to exact their vengeance.

"Damn it!!!"

From his office, the Third Raikage stared out at the destruction, watching as the Two-Tails rampaged through the village.

He clenched his fists.

It was like history repeating itself.
