Resurrection
Zane hears steps from the hallway. He hears them approaching the room he is in and quickly acts dead and puts the cloth over him. The door opens and he can hear 2 men coming inside. He doesn't hear the door close so he figures out quickly he is being taken outside. The 2 men begin talking.
"man, I'm tired of opening up the dead" one says.
"Gotta do what we gotta do man, you don't wanna be paid?" says another.
"But why the hell do we have to do it on guys who fight for us? and this guy is just a kid" says one.
"Just do you're damn job. Now I need you to prep his body before we remove his core and do the autopsy. Do it before something unwanted happens" another says.
"fine" says one.
Zane hears doors opening. He feels the whiff of sanitized air hitting his body and feels his table stop directly under a light.
"Hey where's your protective vest?" says another.
"What protective vest?" says one.
"Goddamn randy this isn't you're first time go and wear you're vest its standard protocol" says another.
"fine" says randy.
Zane hears the door open and a sound of shuffling from the nearby drawer. He can't keep himself acting dead any longer so he slowly opens one eye and watches a surgeon fully dressed in white with his back towards Zane.
Zane has to get out of here before someone carves him up and so he plans to slowly get up to get behind the surgeon. He plans to use a knockout move Robert had thought him by hitting hard on the nape of a person. Zane slowly lifts his leg and tries to keep his foot down on the ground and then tried to get the other one down as well, but apparently these surgeons had not locked the wheels because as Zane kept his other foot down the table moved and made a loud rattling metallic sound in the cold silent room. The surgeon immediately looked back.
"AY WHAT THE-"
Before the surgeon can complete his sentence, Zane charges at him with full speed and lands an uppercut straight on his lower jaw, instantly knocking him out.
Zane hurriedly wraps the white cloth around him and dashes out the door and goes left to the corridor into an elevator, just as he sees a shadow of someone approaching the corner on the other side of the corridor.

Zane comes out of the elevator to an empty and dark lobby hall. It looks like the research facility and he quickly looks for the exit. He runs towards the glass door and pulls on it but its locked so he goes to the nearby window and breaks the lock with full force and climbs out the window, running away from the facility.
But he has a problem to face, he doesn't know where to go. Just then the alarms go out in the facility, red lights and alarms blaring intensely, he runs at full speed disoriented as to where he is going. He runs and runs, naked and with the white cloth barely covering him he, suddenly bumps hard into someone. He falls on his back and looks on the face of what looks like a woman.
"I knew you were weak but you're an exhibitionist too? what the hell are you doing here pale boy?" the voice of a girl Zane is irritated by.
"dammit, Roselyn, look I need to get out of here" Zane says as he gets up, covering himself.
"Why do you think I'm ever going to help you?" she says in a rude tone.
"Look, I will explain everything! but if I get caught, they will kill me and I am not joking and they are going to wake the whole base up to find me" Zane says in a fierce and serious tone.
Roselyn quiets down as she sees distant lights and alarms going off. She looks at him with an annoyed expression contemplating if she should help him.
"Run as fast as you can behind me and don't look back" Roselyn says as she starts sprinting.
Zane follows her, dodging obstacles and he hears speakers going off announcing an intruder. He follows her to the far eastern and dark end of the base as she makes her way towards a fence, with a hole inside it and goes through it, making their way across the field towards a small hill. The base lights up, with guards and exterminators running around and trucks and helicopters starting to search the intruder. Zane and Roselyn climb up the hill, into the forested area and run on an abandoned trail. They then come across a bunker entrance in the middle of the forest. Thick concrete and a bit damaged with moss and plantation growth indicated that it had been abandoned a long time ago.
Roselyn pulls on the rusted metal door to open.
"Get in fast c'mon" she says as she points into the utter darkness.
Zane goes in with Roselyn in tow, as she closes the door, helicopters fly above them with search lights flashing the entire forest alight. The angled cement walls holding the slanted bunker entrance crack and collapse as the heavy roof crushes the rusted doors, sealing the bunker.
Inside, Roselyn lights up the tunnel, revealing a flight of stairs going down about 30 feet deep into a small hall. There was rubble on the end of the hall, indicating that it is an abandoned tunnel.
"Home sweet home, pale boy" Roselyn says as she lights up the hall with flame lamps.
"why'd you seal the entrance?" Zane asks.
"Want them to check in an obvious looking bunker which I opened up just meters away from the base? Are you stupid?" Roselyn scoffs.
"What is this bunker? Haven't they got this place on this record?" Zane asks
"You know I think you should start explaining yourself, considering that I've gotten myself with you in a court martial case" Roselyn says, crossing her arms and looking Zane up and down in a disappointed and disgusted manner.
Zane looks at her before sitting down.
"I was killed while on a mission. The mission was to exterminate a category 3 and me and my partner were sent, turns out it was a category 6 because that thing was huge, fast and had more than one ability and we could barely fool it and all our tricks were in vain to exterminate it. We were fighting for hours and we were injured so i figured my partner should bring reinforcements simply because he was faster. I fought that thing alone before it pierced my chest and everything went black." Zane explained and looked at Roselyn.
Roselyn's burst into laughter, and Zane looked at her with cringe and disbelief.
"Ok I understand, I'm talking to a naked ghost. I didn't know you were retarded too" Roselyn laughs.
"I'm not joking. After that I had this weird dream and I woke up in a surgical room where they were going to perform an autopsy on me." Zane says.
"And you have no scars?" Roselyn asks.
"that's the problem. Which is why I can't prove it to you that I really died" Zane says.
"I think you were in a rush and probably didn't look properly" Roselyn says as she sits down near Zane.
"What do you mean?" Zane asks.
Roselyn points to a pale red circle on Zane white chest where his heart is.
"Well, I guess you're not lying" Roselyn says.
She gets up as she takes out some trousers and a shirt and throws it to Zane for him to wear. Zane wears it as she sits down with a map of the base.
"We need to escape either today or tomorrow because they will find this place soon" Roselyn says.
Zane sits near her as she keenly looks at the map.
"Ok here is what we will do" Roselyn says.

Captain William and lieutenant Rodney are at the entrance of Colonel James Obadiah's office. Both of them are asked to enter the dimly lit room as sirens still ring at full volume outside the base.
Both of the men salute the Colonel before he turns and sits on his chair, facing them.
"Where is Private Zane, Captain William?" the Colonel asks.
Captain William looks at Rodney as he looks at him too.
"Sir you and I know he is dead" Captain William replies.
"Then why is the base awake Captain?" the Colonel asks.
"Because of an intruder?" the Captain replies.
"Wrong Captain! you are always wrong. Its because of escapee Captain. You see about 30 minutes ago the research facility went into a red alert because a patient had escaped surgical room 6 located in the basement. The patient's name is Zane Raphael and the surgeon who was supposed to operate on him was found knocked out unconscious in the room. He was awoken and has given testimony that he saw Zane before being knocked out by him" the Colonel informs.
Both the Captain and Lieutenant are in awe and confusion at the statement of the Colonel.
"What?" The Captain says in utter disbelief.
"Yes Captain, your subordinate has resurrected and is alive and well. And America has its own compound exterminator." says the Colonel.
