Leaving my world behind (I was reincarnated as an axolotl)

Since ancient times, there has been a lingering question: is humanity inherently evil, or is it society that corrupts it? In this story, we follow Morgan, a young man known for his kindness and good heart, who deeply loves animals. However, he dies suddenly from an illness. It is then that he encounters a god of death, ready to devour his soul and merge it with the universe. But another god intervenes to offer him help, aiming to prove a point on which the god of death disagrees.



The two gods make a wager: whether the young man will retain his pure essence or be consumed by the cruel and merciless world in which he will reincarnate—a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction. However, there’s a small twist: the god of death reincarnates him as an axolotl, while the other god grants him a gift.



Will Morgan remain true to his ideals, or will he succumb to a corrupt and decaying society?
