Actually, Rope didn't have to get involved in this at all...
There won't be any danger here. The only person left in the whole town besides Rope is Professor Fuji. And Professor Fuji isn't some old man with no hands. Moreover, the real haunted world is the Spirit Realm, and the present world is only being reached by Pidgeys.
Even if we don't care, in a few days when the battle for the Ghost King's position comes to a close, this matter will all die down. Furthermore, it is estimated that Granny Agatha will come here tomorrow at noon to deal with this matter. With Granny Agatha's strength, dealing with this matter was just a piece of cake.
What's more, Rope was scared to death of Granny Agatha...
So in every sense, there was no need for Rope to stay.
"So what kind of mistake did I make to ghost my way here, huh?"
Rope looked at the dark, round, portal-like thing in front of her.
Giving himself a smack in the mouth as a form of punishment for being addicted to meddling.
Then Rope walked in...
The man is better off dead...
[Life doesn't stop, exploration doesn't stop, this is the spirit of exploration that a researcher should have!]
Rope's face showed a determined look, as if this guy really thought so.
In fact, this guy was just habitually playing dead...
Just like that, after feeling a spatial fluctuation, Rope just appeared in the Spirit Realm...
The scene in front of Rope now couldn't be described as very anxious...it could only be described as quite 'united'.
Have you ever seen dozens of Gastlys gathered tightly together to form a big ball?
Rope hadn't seen it before, so he was getting a long look now.
The Spirit Realm was desolate. The surrounding area was murky but not dark, it was easy to see, but it seemed like there was no light source present at all. There were no plants, and all there was was jagged, strange rocks.
Piece by piece, the strange rocks looked twisted and their shapes were quite strange. It looked like it gave off a hideous and horrible feeling.
Of course horrifying, those were people or Pokémon who had mistakenly entered the Spirit Realm...
After having their life force devoured by the Ghost Pokémon, they were then filled with Ghost energy to fill their flesh. Then they slowly petrify. Eventually, it turned into the appearance of the stone in front of him.
Rope's eyes held an undertone of pity. But there was no more emotion.
Not many Pokémon in the Spirit Realm were clean. More or less, they had human lives or the lives of other Pokémon on their hands. Their temperament is fierce, disobedient, and they love to eat life force. Basically, no one in the Spirit Realm would take in a ghost Pokémon. The only Pokémon that people take in are the ones that roam around in the real world, because of the above characteristics. I can't say all of them, I can only say that 90% of the Spirit Realm Pokémon's are like this, with another 9% being more vicious, and only the other 1% being of a gentle nature.
So, entering the Spirit Realm is more than a little vicious for most trainers and Pokémon.
Rope wasn't worried about himself though, and he withdrew his gaze from looking at the stone. There was no point in grieving over someone he didn't know, who had been dead for who knows how long.
Scanning around, he didn't see any more ghostly Pokémon either, except for the group of Gastly's who didn't know what game they were playing, so Rope called Rotom out.
"Rotom, Rotom, come out and detect the energy concentration!"
Rotom trembled and got out of his backpack. Rope unintentionally scanned his screen and then flinched, followed by an unimaginative laugh.
"'A hundred evils can't be invaded, and a swarm of ghosts can't approach'? Hahahahaha, Rotom are you trying to kill me with laughter?"
Rope was close to rolling on the ground twice.
"You- you- you, what are you laughing at! Aren't you afraid of ghosts too?!!!"
Rotom didn't reflect on himself at all, instead he opened his mouth to retort.
Rope was laughing so hard tears were streaming out of his eyes, but when he heard Rotom's words he wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes and then said, "Number one, I'm not afraid of ghosts, I'm just afraid of Granny Agatha."
That's true, but how afraid of ghosts are people who are pressed to watch 20 minutes of a 28-minute banned hunting horror movie in holographic 3-D for three days, and a couple of years down the road, they're not afraid of ghosts any more than they're afraid of ghosts.
So Rope is just afraid of Granny Agatha's flowery work... and for all those ghosts, it's really not even close to Granny's horror movies...
"Secondly, it's okay for me to be afraid of ghosts...Rotom you're a ghostly Pokémon yourself! You're afraid of ghosts... hahahahaha(ω)."
Rotom: ...
What's wrong with electric ghosts? Can't an electric ghost be afraid of ghosts? Who stipulated that! Stand out! Who says ghosts can't be afraid of ghosts! Electric ghosts can't get any better!
Looking at Rope, who was holding back his laughter, Rotom could only keep his frustration in check... because... it seems to be quite embarrassing for the ghosts...
Rotom also ignored Rope, and floated towards the side, Rope knew that Rotom was leading the way, so he collected his laughter and followed closely.
I have to say, Rotom was really convenient. However, in this regard, Rope was wrong, Rotom wasn't relying on any energy concentration to distinguish the location this time.
Rather, it was the intuition of a Ghost Pokémon. If there was a Ghost King battling for supremacy in the vicinity, then every Ghost-type Pokémon would have a sense of it. Either it was not strong enough and immediately stayed away. Either it was strong enough, and rushed to enter.
Rotom obviously doesn't have that kind of strength, but Rope behind him can beat up three of them at once.
Ghosts with thighs behind them talk tough!
Rope and Rotom walked out a short distance in the Spirit Realm, and along the way, Rope still hadn't found any ghost-based Pokémon.
"Rotom, why aren't there any other Pokémon around here?"
Rope still didn't hold back from asking. This was like torture for Rope. Obviously, he came in to see the survival of Pokémon in the Spirit Realm, but looking at the current situation, it's questionable whether he can see any other ghosts other than the electric ghost in front of him...
"Do you think just any Pokémon would dare to participate in the Ghost King Contest?" Rotom didn't have the heart to say.
"All the Pokémon in this neighborhood have run away, the birth of the Ghost King involves devouring a large number of Ghost-type Pokémon, and only one of the Pokémon involved in the Ghost King Battle will survive."
Rope tugged at the corner of his mouth, "How do you know that? I remember you were born in the present world, right?"
You know, according to Rope's understanding, such cruelty as the Ghost King Battle was only found in the Spirit Realm. Rotom, who was born in the current world, was supposed to be unaware of it.
"The information in my database. Professor Oak has written a paper on this, and the second author is Granny Agatha."
Rotom blandly states the fact that he's open...
Rope: ...
