Professor Oak’s Call

"Hey Professor, what can I do for you?"

Rope glanced at Granny Agatha and saw Granny Agatha grimace at the word 'Professor' before turning her torso away and continuing to drink her tea.

Rope smiled, he knew this would be the case.

"Ah Rope! I have a task for you over here!"

There was excitement in Professor Oak's tone, but Rope still heard a few moments of weakness.

Professor Oak was indeed full of weakness, although he knew that as long as he made this request, Rope would most likely not refuse, and his intention was also for Rope's good, but in case Rope was not happy, Professor Oak would have the suspicion of forcing him.

As an enlightened parent, Professor Oak has always disliked this behavior. It's as if he didn't force Rope to be with Nanami, nor did he force Rope to be with Cynthia.

One could only say that it was the time and the place.

"Professor you say, you say before I say yes or no!" How could Rope fall for this kind of trick, of course he had to ask out Professor's mission first. If Professor asked him to take Arceus back to do research for him, would Rope go or not go?

If he did, he would be getting himself into trouble, but if he didn't, he would feel sorry for Professor Oak, so he couldn't accept this kind of thing first.

Not accepting and accepting and then refusing are two different things.

"I found you a traveling companion, are you happy?" The faintheartedness in Professor Oak's words was really getting stronger.

But Rope's side didn't have any special feeling, he thought for a while and then said, "If it's suitable, I don't have a problem with it. But Professor, I don't have a feeling when you say that. You more or less have to let me meet it."

"That's no problem! Are you in Saffron City now?" Professor Oak asked with a leap of faith.

"No, I'm still in Lavender Town, something just happened so I'm stumped again..."

The overflowing helplessness with which Rope said this caused Professor Oak on the other end of the line to fall silent. After a long time, Professor Oak spoke up and asked, "What is it? Is it serious? Are there any injuries?"

Rope smiled and said, "That's not true, it's not a big deal, and I have my mother-in-law to help me, so don't worry."

"Is Agatha on your side too?" Professor Oak's tone had a hint of disorientation.

Rope's voice was deliberately loud, almost as loud as speakerphone. He glanced over at Granny Agatha, who, at eye level, had a smile at the corner of her mouth.

"Right, Professor, are we going to meet at Saffron City?" Rope asked, speaking up.

"Sure, I'll take little Whitley and meet you in Saffron City, Juniper is here as well and wants to discuss some academic issues with you." Professor Oak's words had a return of calm.

Rope watched as the smile on Granny Agatha's face disappeared and was replaced with a face full of frost, and tugged the corners of his mouth helplessly.

He said to himself that you, Professor, are truly a role model for my generation!

"Alright. Let's wait until we meet then."

————————————

Although he didn't get a suitable Ghost Pokémon, he was lucky to get one, but it was his fate to lose it. Rope was an open-minded person, so there was no need to force himself if he couldn't get one. That's why he hasn't gotten any of the six Pokémon so far.

Like Red...Pokédex collecting maniac.

Rope is the guy who doesn't even bother catching regular Pokémon in the game.

Long story short, Rope quickly passes through the path and doesn't run into anything worthwhile on the way. Like the occasional challenge from the uncle, the shorts boys, and the bug catcher wasn't worth mentioning. Likewise Rope didn't run into any Pokémon worth mentioning.

Mostly because this guy is really in a hurry...

This guy isn't experiencing the joy of traveling at all. He didn't go through the Diglett's Cave, he didn't climb Mt. Moon, he just bored his way through the Cerulean Cave, and he missed the Power Plant perfectly. He wasn't interested in Zapdos, and owed it time to even meet it.

He also knew that because of all he had been through, if he was slow to collect, the odds were that he would have to attend the next Indigo Plateau Conference.

Not to mention there was no telling what would trip him up after that. So hurry up and hurry up and hit the gym. Then go home and rest... he really had had enough.

When he was at the institute he was a nobody. And now that he was famous not to mention that he was somehow involved in a lot of things.

If he was given a chance to start over... forget about such unnecessary things.

Traveling through time and space with Celebi? What about the original you? Kill yourself and take your place? How could you exist after that?

When Rope let go of his obsession with returning to the original world, Rope never thought of using Celebi or the God of Time to do anything.

Even the God of Time didn't dare to disturb the passage of time at will. The long river flowed unceasingly, but the dike broke only in an instant.

Playing with time is like warming up a nuclear bomb with a flamethrower.

Rope doesn't have the guts.

And so, Rope arrived in Saffron City and raised an eyebrow.

Saffron City was indeed the largest city and business center in the Kanto region.

There was a constant stream of people coming and going. The traffic was heavy and the lights were on.

However, Rope didn't wander around much, but went straight to the Pokémon Center. After handing over the Pokémon in his hand to Ms. Joy for inspection, Rope found a room at the Pokémon Center and stayed there.

He lay on the bed, staring straight up at the ceiling without saying a word.

It would be a lie to say that this previous incident didn't have any effect on Rope, and the reason why Rope didn't want to think about it was because he didn't have much of a mind to think about it. But that's the scariest thing isn't it?

The authority of the dream world is in the hands of the two dream gods. But when Rope asked Entei, Entei didn't sense any other Legendary Pokémon's aura.

Furthermore, even those two Dream Gods had no way of allowing Rope to travel through time and space through dreams and then change history... although it was only a small change.

But that was still pretty incredible.

Rope was skeptical that Arceus could do this.

But after thinking about it, I'm afraid not... because according to what Entei had told him, Arceus had left most of the authority in the hands of the other Legendary Pokémon, and in fact, most of the authority didn't need to be maintained, and that was the reason why the world was still functioning normally even if the Legendary Pokémon had slept for a thousand or eighteen hundred years. The reason.

The real meaning of the authority is that when the normal order of the world is broken, the Legendary Pokémon who have this authority will sense it and come to fix it.

Most Legendary Pokémon are only responsible for having one authority, but Arceus has more than one, and in his hands are still some many things and troublesome authorities. And he has to supervise the other Legendary Pokémon in the performance of their duties. So Arceus divides himself into 18 more than enough.

Entei also put in his own speculation about Arceus' thoughts on Rope. Rope was not far from Arceus's intentions, and she let go of her heart, then regretted why she had agreed to it... and somehow got herself a job that was a pain in the ass.

Rope's heart was still in turmoil, which was why he had rushed to Saffron City without even speaking to Granny Agatha for more than a few moments. He was genuinely afraid that this weird thing that had happened to him would affect Granny Agatha.

It was not a manly thing to do to involve others.
