This argument, brought up by Juniper and carried on between Master and Apprentice, didn't last long. Something a little deeper involved the very foundation of Legendary Pokémon, and while Rope could talk, Professor Oak was on point.
He could sense that what came next, while it didn't matter much to Rope, should be at the limit of one tolerance for most people. Knowing more, the Legendary Pokémon wouldn't necessarily be as gentle with the others as they were with Rope. For those of us here, except for Lance, who can barely stand up to a Legendary Pokémon, no one else can.
I don't mean to look down on Lucian, but Lucian's force value isn't that high in the Elite, and the strongest of the Sinnoh Elite Four is Flint the Explosive Head.
The strongest of the Elite Four is Flint, and the strongest of all the Elite Four, but that doesn't count. The League hasn't even started holding these large scale tournaments across multiple regions yet, so all we can determine is the rankings of the abilities within their respective Leagues.
However, it was rumored that the League had already started preparing for the Masters Tournament.
When the time comes, they'll be able to see the level of each region's Elite Champion. It was also the best way to gauge the strength of a region.
Rope also quite wanted to participate, except that both Fire Dinosaur and Kati Dog were not yet practiced, so it was expected that Rope would not be able to participate in the first Masters Tournament.
After Professor Oak took the initiative to stop asking questions, Juniper didn't ask any questions, she also vaguely felt that Rope's words might have some hidden secrets that she wasn't suited to know. Rope didn't have any feelings, but there were some things that she probably shouldn't have mentioned to them.
Lucian originally wanted to discuss with Rope about Legendary Pokémon, but now it seems that there is no need to ask.
But there was one thing that everyone knew in their hearts.
Rope knew so many hidden secrets about Legendary Pokémon definitely not just from research. As for how he knew it, that was a matter of opinion.
People didn't mean to inquire about it either. Knowing too much was not necessarily a good thing.
Seeing that everyone was silent Rope also changed the topic.
"Lucian, did Cynthia send the Pokémon eggs she asked you to deliver?"
Rope asked.
"Oh yeah! Almost forgot. Here it is." Lucian slapped himself on the head, then picked up the large backpack at his feet, then placed it on the coffee table and opened it.
An incubator just appeared.
Inside the incubator was a Pokémon egg with a red pattern.
The moment the incubator was revealed from the backpack, the temperature of the entire room went up a notch.
Lance, Rope, and Professor Oak all had shocked expressions on their faces.
"Good lord, the energy level in its body is this high before it was even born?" Lance couldn't help but exclaim in shock.
No wonder he had to trade for the Champion Privilege, it was indeed worth it!
Professor Oak looked at the pattern on the egg then said, "Chimchar egg. Talented to the point of being scary."
Lance looks at Rope with an expression that's all wrong.
Sour ah... in all fairness he was a handsome man, why didn't he have a beautiful champion to give him a Pokémon egg with this kind of talent!
The corners of Rope's mouth were twitching, Cynthia said it was quite precious, but you can't really use the word "quite" in front of "precious".
You call this a Chimchar... you call this a Victini... I'll believe you...
Juniper and Whitley didn't know anything about Pokémon eggs, but by looking at the reactions of these people, they knew that the little guy inside the egg was something extraordinary.
"Cynthia traded her champion privileges for it. She even hid it from Flint before exchanging it." Lucian held his eyes and said rather helplessly.
Lucian was genuinely not expecting Cynthia to do this. Although Cynthia wasn't short of resources, there were just too many goodies that could be traded for champion privileges.
As a result, Cynthia traded such an egg to Rope...
If this is not love.
Rope reached out with his left hand to caress the incubator as if it were some rare treasure.
"It's a gift from Cynthia..." Muttered Rope under his breath.
Honestly, for the first time, Rope felt like he had so little to give in the relationship. His right hand under the table tightened into a fist.
[It's no use thinking about all this anymore, let's think about what we should get Cynthia first... surely it's better to give her the dead pink cat].
Rope let out a bitter laugh before saying to Lucian, "Thanks for coming on the trip."
Lucian shook his head, "I know this is Cynthia taking the opportunity to give me a break as well. Although all this workload is going to be paid back later. But it's good to take these two days off. I'll be able to play for a few more days before I head back to Sinnoh, so I'll have to ask Mr. Lance to hang out with me then."
Lance patted his chest and said, "No problem. I've got plenty of fun places to go!"
Lance's job was also taken by Lorelei. So these two days were also Lance's vacation. The two asked questions and answered questions, not bothering Rope at all.
Rope bitterly smiled and shook his head, "Suit yourselves."
Lucian added, "Rope you better not put the egg away. This egg has already been delayed hatching in League, and now we can't figure out his hatching period, but I have a feeling it's just in the next couple days."
And Rope, after hearing this, put his hand on the incubator and then closed his eyes to feel it.
Several fiery serpents sprang from Rope's palm and wrapped the entire incubation period.
The people present, except for Professor Oak and Lance, were all looking at Rope with shocked faces.
[What kind of ability is this? This kind of externalized form hasn't been seen before. Directly utilizing the energy of the elemental system? I haven't heard of it before. So eager to study it.]
Professor Juniper looked at Rope with an inquisitive look in his eyes.
[Looks like a Fire Pokémon! Like Fire Punch!]
Whitley also thought with a shocked face.
[This guy, is he really human? To be able to use flames directly, that's not something that can be explained by psychic power...]
The corners of Lucian's mouth also twitched.
What do you mean by unseen and unheard of! Although there were countless strange and weird abilities in the Pokémon world, it was really the first time that I had ever seen an ability that represented a Pokémon attribute like this, apart from the Psyhic Department.
But psychic power is essentially mental power. As long as you are born with a certain level of mental power, you can act as a psychic, which is something that humans can also do.
But the use of fire energy...it wasn't something that could be done by any human's own ability, right?
And Rope didn't care about their shock. After a while, Rope withdrew her hand. The flame disappeared with it. And the egg in that incubator began to shake.
[I'm coming out!]
The little one in the egg was saying.
"Come out, little one! Come see the world!"
Rope said.
