Vermillion City

Rope and Whitley came to Vermillion City after all.

Vermillion City is near the sea, and the air is more humid.

Whitley and Rope were walking on the road near the sea, Whitley was looking at the sea with excitement, "I want to go!" was written all over her face. Rope was amused to see that this was the first time he had ever seen such a clear desire on Whitley's face.

Rope reached out his hand to touch Whitley's head and said, "Our next destination is Cinnabar Island, we'll go by boat."

"Really! I've never done a boat before!"

Whitley asked with two glowing eyes.

It was true, Whitley had grown up in the interior of the Hopewell, and had seen the forests for quite a while, and it was the first time she had actually been this close to the ocean for the first time.

Rope mused for a moment, seemingly pondering whether or not to do this. When he did, Whitley couldn't help but clench her pink fists. Honestly, if it wasn't for Rope's presence, she would have gone to buy the boat ticket herself.

But since Rope was here so her personal actions basically wouldn't be allowed by Rope.

"I remember there's supposed to be S.S. Anne supposed to arrive in a couple days, we can do S.S. Anne to Cinnabar Island then."

Rope pondered for a moment, then said bashfully, apparently his musings just now weren't about whether or not to take a boat to Cinnabar Island, but what boat to take to Cinnabar Island.

"S.S. Anne!!!! That very famous luxury cruise ship!!!"

Whitley was obviously more than a little surprised.

"Didn't they say they plan a different itinerary each year and then make sure they only stop in one port once a year?"

Whitley thought about the rumors he had heard about S.S. Anne.

"Yeah, this year their route should be coming up to Vermillion City soon, so you're in luck."

Rope said with a smile as well. Then had to wonder at Whitley's really good luck. If he missed the one in two days, then he would have to wait until Ash traveled to Vermillion City to do it again... By that reckoning, Ash was attending the next Indigo Plateau Conference, and four months later would be the new Indigo Plateau Conference registration, then it's outrageous that it took Ash almost eight months to travel here.

But it's also outrageous to think that someone like Rope would have to start traveling and then collecting badges for the conference in four months.

After all, it's just too short a time...

Rope silently wiped a handful of sweat from his forehead before grinning, "I've got a lifetime VIP ticket to S.S. Anne's ship somewhere, so I can do whatever I want to do when the time comes."

Whitley couldn't help but stare in amazement at this, "You have a lifetime VIP boat ticket?? When did you receive it? After becoming a professor?"

Whitley was naturally surprised, knowing that the S.S. Anne was a commercially operated ship, and although it would give special discounted ticket access to the Union's public officials, including professors, it still essentially cost money.

Lifetime VIP tickets aren't bought...they're given away by the company. It's usually only after some kind of business partnership.

For example, Whitley knows that champion Diantha was given one after doing an endorsement for S.S. Anne.

But when did Rope have a business deal with this shipping company????

"No, it was before I became professor, and as for how... I'll tell you when we get to the ship, hang you for a couple days." Rope said with a rather unscrupulous grin.

Whitley didn't bother to pay much attention to this childish fellow, rolling his eyes at him and asking no more questions.

"Where are we going next?"

"To the Vermilion Gym. Hurry up and finish the fight, and we can still hang out with you on the beach for a bit before we get on the boat."

Rope said without thinking.

"Good thing too. Let's go quickly then!!! You hurry up and play! I want to go to the beach!!!"

Whitley was able to keep her cool at first, but soon couldn't hold it together and urged Rope repeatedly.

"Got it got it got it... "Rope looked at Whitley, who was bouncing in front of her and was obviously very excited, and shook her head helplessly.

Incidentally, in his own mind, he burned incense for poor Lt. Surge. Apparently he couldn't practice this time. Whitley had been traveling with himself for such a long time, except for a period of time at Celadon University when he played with Yuuki and Eri, the rest of the time he was basically following Rope on his long journeys.

Even just now in the dojo was the same, after all, she and Janine couldn't even be considered the same age... Janine was a year or two older than Rope...

[Then let's take this little girl for a good time.] Rope shook her head and smiled, then followed Whitley's lead.

Vermillion City, inside Vermilion Gym

Lt. Surge, who was working out with his Raichu. Surge suddenly winced, then his hands shook and his pushups didn't hold up and he fell on his ass.

"Raichu? (What's wrong?)" Raichu hurriedly walked up and helped Lt. Surge up, then called out in confusion.

"I suddenly have a bad feeling, the last time I shivered like this was something that happened before I messed with Sabrina and got cleaned up by her."

Thinking so, Lt. Surge hurriedly pulled out his cell phone from his own pocket, then silently flipped through his chats with Sabrina. The most recent chat was 10 days ago, and what he had said was restrained and nothing had offended her.

Then he went through his chats with Lance, Lorelei, Red, Blue, and Bruno one by one to make sure that he hadn't had a foul mouth in the last few days, hadn't been offended, and that his desire to live had been strong, then breathed a sigh of relief...

"I shouldn't be... is it hard to believe that I have a cold? "

Lt. Surge scratched his steel-pinned hair, then shook his head silently.

At this point, he didn't realize that the origin of the nightmare he was about to meet was simply because there was a little girl who had to rush off to the beach to play.

Sabrina was bored watching the drama she was acting in on TV.

In fact, she knew every single episode by heart. And it wasn't like she was looking for flaws in her acting or anything. After all, as a psychic, a super-strong memory was naturally the most basic.

So every single action of every single one of her performances could be gone over again in her own head whenever she wanted to recall it. These were nothing more than basic maneuvers.

So watching what she acted in was only because she thought everyone else's dramas were bad.

I have to say that Diantha's acting is not bad for that woman, but the kind of lovey-dovey movies that come out of the Kalos region are really unwatchable by themselves. She, Sabrina, has always been a psychic girl!

Special effects blockbusters aren't much better than those romances!

I wonder what kind of movies Rope prefers?

Such a question suddenly popped up in Sabrina's head. Then she thought seriously for a while, feeling that she should like psychic movies more...

But what if he likes romance movies more? Should I act in one or two romance movies for him to watch?

No, what if he hates it when I fall in love with someone else in a movie?

Just like this, the psychic girl Sabrina was caught in a predicament...

After a long while, she finally let out a bitter laugh, then shook her head and muttered to herself, "I'm afraid that he won't care about whatever I act in... anyway, he already has Cynthia... "

Sabrina was certainly eye-catching, but she had also always been very self-aware.

She didn't think she had a great personality or temper. Though she's made a conscious effort to restrain her temper and whatnot after meeting Rope.

And I can't talk. I can't talk to Rope to death in three or two sentences.

And I can't cook, Rope would like a girl who can do housework...

Does Cynthia know any of this?

So Sabrina, who had just gotten out of her predicament, was in another one.

"Ugh~ What kind of sin was this..."

Sabrina beamed, tilting her head back to look at the ceiling in aggravation.

Unfortunately, this rare little womanly gesture wasn't seen by anyone who had the honor of seeing it. In other people's eyes, Sabrina would always be that noble and cold psychic queen, the kind that someone would have to kneel down and sing in conquest as soon as she stomped her foot.

"Don't think about it, let's go on S.S. Anne in a couple days and have some fun. Hopefully I can find a little fun."

People with psychic powers actually had delicate minds. Sabrina being the best of the psychic was naturally even more so.

Rope and Whitley had arrived at the entrance to Vermilion Gym.

Vermillion City is actually quite large, and as a coastal port city, there's really a lot to see and do.

But Rope and Whitley had a clear goal in mind.

Standing in front of the Vermilion Gym, Rope pointed to the tip of his nose and said to the trainer at the door, "Me, Rope, do I have to go through your test? I know Lt. Surge ok!"

The apprentice at the door raised his head and looked at Rope, who was a head taller than himself, and then glanced at the cute Whitley by Rope's side, and helplessly said, "Dude, not that I'm saying anything, it's normal to pretend to be good in front of girls, but don't come to the door of the dojo to do it...If you're really good, call our If you're really good, call our Gym Leader right now. As long as he comes out, I'll let you punish him!"

The young apprentice's eyes were very sincere: "I can't do anything to you if you don't come out, just pass the test and go to the challenge as normal. The challenges are set up to reduce the pressure of Gym Leader's work, after all, if you can't even pass our test then don't expect anything to win against Gym Leader."

The young apprentice's tone and eyes were so sincere that Rope couldn't lose his temper at all, opening his mouth and not knowing what to say, he could only close it.

Whitley on one side laughed lightly, "Rope, do you really know Mr. Lt. Surge? You're not lying to me, are you?"

The young apprentice seemed to verify his guess, and then looked at Rope even more contemptuously, as if he was looking at a liar, a piece of trash...

Rope who had ever suffered from this aggravation ah...

He stormed up and gave Whitley a burst of chestnuts, and said without any good will, "That Lt. Surge guy plays with electricity every day, changes his cell phone in three days, and every now and then, his cell phone card breaks down. I just sent him a message and didn't reply, so I guess his cell phone is broken again..."

This is the most speechless part of the electric Gym Leader, a group of people's cell phones are like disposable items, changing them every three days... Rope was too annoyed to even contact Elesa, who is fair and has a hot body, let alone contacting Lt. Surge. not to mention contacting such a brawny man like Lt. Surge.

"Then there's nothing I can do about it... Gym Leader's in there anyway... if you can get him out, I can't stop you."

The young apprentice already had that sincere look on his face and had no intention of stopping Rope from shouting.

After all, if Rope shouted, Lt. Surge couldn't say anything when he came out.

As for why he didn't go to Lt. Surge to inform...

Gym Leader Lt. Surge had just said 10 minutes ago that the pavilion was closed for the day. After receiving the trainers who were already inside the gym he disappeared to no one in particular. It was nice of him to offer Rope a chance to participate in the ordeal.

According to his understanding of Lt. Surge, at this time to go in to inform that someone is looking for, not to say anything else, a scolding will certainly not be able to escape.

But if Rope called the person out, then these two people know each other, Mr. Lt. Surge naturally won't make things difficult for himself.

Even if the two don't know each other, Mr. Lt. Surge can't do anything to himself, choose the lesser of two evils, but of course he knows how he should choose!

Rope's mind also thought of this layer, looking at a sincere face should be younger than Whitley one or two years of the young apprentice, can only feel that the world's children are really too precocious. At such a young age, they have already learned to weigh the pros and cons. It's not clear whether to say it's a good thing or a bad thing...

Rope shook his head, then said, "Alright, I'll do it myself."

Rope then waved his hand towards Whitley, signaling her to stand back a bit.

Whitley obeyed and took several steps back.

The young apprentice had no idea what Rope was staging and was just watching curiously.

Rope removed Entei's Pokéball from his body, but instead of releasing Entei from the ball, he gave Whitley a gesture to cover his ears.

Whitley obediently covered his ears.

He made the same gesture towards the young apprentice again.

The young apprentice though still felt that the guy in front of him, who was seven or eight years older than himself, was cheating; after all, how could Mr. Lt. Surge be very good friends with such a young man? At most, he was just a junior.

Could it be that this guy could be a genius like Mr. Red and Mr. Blue?

How can that be? If geniuses were that worthless, there wouldn't be so many people chasing after them.

Although his heart still didn't believe it, and he even had some disdain for Rope, he still covered his ears. One could only say that he was cooperating with Rope's performance.

Rope didn't expect this little guy to be so obedient, but on second thought, with such proficiency in the human world, it was thought that he would more or less make a show of believing in what others said to his face. Even if he was no longer disdainful or disgruntled, he would only smile and say "It's okay!"

Rope shook his head, but didn't want to do anything.

Who cares if you do what you want...

"Entei, get that Lt. Surge guy out here!"

Rope threw the ball in his hand outward, and between flashes of white light, Entei stepped on the flames and made his entrance amidst a sense of oppression so majestic that it made people want to kowtow and worship.

Shouting came from the crowd not far away. People's voices were bustling, noisy and incomparable.

And a little later was Entei's roar that suppressed all the murmurs.

"Roar!!!"
