The deeper they descended into the mountain, the heavier the air became. Rade could feel the oppressive presence of the Void energy seeping into his skin, tugging at his Camper form as though testing his resolve. The narrow passage Eryas had led them into seemed to twist unnaturally, the walls shimmering as if alive. Every step felt like they were being watched by unseen eyes.
"This place is a maze," Mina whispered, glancing nervously at the flickering shadows cast by their torches. "How much farther?"
"Not far," Eryas replied, his voice echoing softly. "But the closer we get, the more dangerous it will become. The Cult ensured the shard would be well-guarded."
Rade tightened his grip on his blade. "Whatever's waiting for us, we'll deal with it. Lead the way."
The group pressed on, their movements cautious and deliberate. Every now and then, the corridor opened into small chambers, each one containing evidence of the Cult's twisted rituals—ancient symbols painted in blood, broken altars, and long-dead bodies bound by chains. The air was thick with the stench of decay and the lingering remnants of dark magic.
The Guardians of the Shard
Finally, they reached a massive stone door carved into the mountain itself. Strange glyphs pulsed faintly on its surface, radiating a cold, pale light. Eryas stopped in front of it, his expression grim.
"This is it," he said, gesturing toward the door. "The Shard of Light is beyond this barrier. But it won't be unguarded."
Rade stepped forward, examining the glyphs. "How do we open it?"
Eryas raised his staff, pressing its glowing tip against the center of the door. The glyphs flared to life, and the stone groaned as it began to shift. Slowly, the door slid open, revealing a vast chamber bathed in a golden glow.
At the center of the room, suspended in midair, was the Shard of Light—a crystalline fragment that pulsed with a brilliance so pure it seemed to repel the shadows around it. Its light illuminated the chamber, casting sharp, angular beams that danced across the walls.
"Beautiful," Mina breathed, her eyes wide.
"It's also a trap," Alisa said, stepping into the room with her glaive at the ready.
The moment she spoke, the air in the chamber shifted. A deep, guttural growl echoed from the shadows, and three massive figures emerged from the darkness.

Each beast was twice the size of the Guardians they had faced earlier, their bodies composed of swirling shadows and jagged stone. Their glowing eyes locked onto the group, and they let out an ear-piercing roar before charging forward.
The Fight for the Shard
"Spread out!" Rade shouted, leaping forward to meet the first beast. His Camper form ignited, purple flames licking along the edge of his blade. He slashed at the creature's legs, forcing it to stagger, but its claws swung down in retaliation.
Krow charged the second beast, his warhammer crashing against its chest with a deafening boom. "Mina, keep us covered!"
"I'm on it!" Mina replied, darting between the combatants to cast healing spells and reinforce their defenses.
Alisa faced the third beast, her glaive spinning in precise arcs. She danced around its attacks, striking its weak points with surgical precision. "These things are tougher than they look!"
"They're drawing energy from the shard!" Eryas shouted from the edge of the chamber. "You have to weaken their connection to it, or they'll keep regenerating!"
"Got it!" Rade yelled, dodging another swipe from the beast. He focused his energy, channeling a concentrated burst of Void power into his blade. With a swift, upward strike, he severed the tendrils of dark energy linking the first beast to the shard.
The creature let out a guttural scream and collapsed, its body disintegrating into mist.
"One down!" Rade called, turning to assist Krow.
With their combined efforts, the group severed the remaining beasts' links to the shard and brought them down one by one. As the last beast fell, the chamber fell silent, the oppressive darkness lifting slightly.
Claiming the Shard
Breathing heavily, Rade approached the Shard of Light. Its glow was mesmerizing, and he could feel its immense power radiating outward, filling the room with a sense of calm.
"This is it," he said, reaching out cautiously. "The key to stopping the Void Crystal."
Eryas stepped forward, his expression serious. "Be careful, Rade. The Shard is pure light, but it's also incredibly volatile. It will react to your energy. If you're not careful, it could destroy you."
"I'll take that chance," Rade replied, his hand hovering over the shard. He closed his eyes, focusing his Camper form to balance the Void energy within him. Slowly, he grasped the shard.
The moment he touched it, a searing pain shot through his body, and the shard's light flared violently. Rade gritted his teeth, his entire form trembling as the pure energy of the shard clashed with his Void-infused aura.
"Rade!" Mina shouted, stepping forward.
"Stay back!" Rade managed, his voice strained. "I've got this!"
With a final surge of willpower, he channeled his energy into stabilizing the shard. The light dimmed slightly, settling into a steady glow. Rade exhaled heavily, his body drenched in sweat.
"It's done," he said, holding the shard aloft.
A New Challenge
The group exited the chamber, the Shard of Light safely in Rade's possession. But as they made their way back to the Void Crystal, the mountain trembled violently, and the system's voice echoed in Rade's mind.

"We're running out of time," Rade said, his voice grim. "We need to destroy the crystal now."
Eryas nodded. "The shard will amplify your power, but using it will come at a cost. Be prepared for what's to come."
As they emerged into the main chamber, the Void Crystal pulsed ominously, its energy growing stronger by the second. The Cult's influence was waning, but the Shadow Entity's power was nearing its peak.
Rade stepped forward, gripping the shard tightly. "This ends here."
With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Rade prepared to face the ultimate challenge.
