Dominic's POV
Daniella's words echoed in my mind like a haunting melody I couldn't shake. "I'm not going back to your pack." She had said it with such certainty, and as much as it pained me, I couldn't argue with her. She was right to feel unsafe. I had failed to protect her , and the thought of her enduring more danger under my watch was unbearable.
For now, my focus had to be on her recovery. I would return to my pack alone, clean up the mess, and make sure it was a place where she could live without fear. A place where she would be loved and respected, not just as my mate but as a person who deserved better than the chaos my world had brought into hers.
The thought of leaving her was a weight on my chest, but I pushed it aside as I glanced at Lucas. He was sprawled on the couch in the corner, scrolling on his phone with a look of concentration that could only mean one thing: he was lost in TikTok again.
