Julian spoke coldly, "Nora and I were sweethearts since we were kids. If I hadn't been moved to a different position, do you think I would've allowed her to end up with you?"
I laughed sarcastically. "Alright then, I'll end the marriage right now, and she's all yours."
As soon as I said this, Nora, who had been dozing, suddenly woke up, looking furious. "Ian, what rubbish are you talking about now?!"
"You and my mother lied to me, saying our child had passed away! And now you want to split up? Are you trying to worsen Eva's condition, hoping she'll pass away quicker? She's in the hospital, and you keep speaking ill of her. What kind of parent does that?"
I frowned. "Who told you our daughter is still hospitalized?"
Nora looked at Julian. "Julian, tell him, isn't our daughter still in the hospital?"
Julian paused, sounding guilty. "I visited the hospital this morning. Eva's okay, and auntie was there with her. Everything you've been saying is just a bunch of lies!"
