"Hold the line! The next group of warriors get ready!"
"Arghhh! My hands! How long has it been?"
"When is it going to end? I can't take this anymore!"
"Slowly advance back, those between level one, get ready. We're going to assist you in levelling up!"
"Alright, we're up! Let's do our best!" Bob said with a warm smile.
"There's no need to be scared. I've got your back," Miriam said, patting his head. They had met up during the formation planning and once again had paired up.
"Uhh, I'm the one who got the two of you back!" The huge guy, Kent, from before said with a loud laugh.
"Switch!" Gawain, the red-haired guy, said.
"Here we go!" Running forward, those at the front slowly retreat while the next set advanced forward.
Blake, holding his daggers tightly, gulped down, staring at the large amount of beasts.
A fireball shot forward, obliterating a few number of beasts. With the opening, they charge forward welding their respective weapons and activating their abilities.
"I'll let out my Icy mist to slow down their movements, I hope you'll be able to defeat them?"
"Yes! I'll do my best! But won't the effects affect us also?" Blake asked.
"No, It only works on those targeted by me. Here it goes!"
[Icy mist: Creates a chilling, misty aura around the user capable of slowing down enemies' movements and attacks]
The first group of beasts approached them, and with the Icy mist skill effect, their movements slowed down, giving them a slight advantage.
Yelling loudly, Blake charged at one of the beasts, jumping onto its back. Holding onto its thick fur, he struck with his other hand. The dagger passed through its flesh, leaving a little cut.
"Alright, do your job!" He exclaimed, holding tightly to the rampaging beast. Raising his hand again, he struck down, and this time around, the dagger pierced deep into its neck, causing it to drop down dead.
"I did it!" He thought with a ragged breathing. The rat dissipated into particles with the yellow orb of light entering into his body. He felt a refreshing sensation with his strength coming back.

Feeling his confidence rising, his eyes were locked on another beast. "Is it just me, or do my steps feel a bit lighter?" Dashing towards the beast, he leapt high and stabbed right at its snout.
The rat swung it's head madly, trying to shake him off. Pulling the sword out, he quickly jumped backwards, evading another beast.
"Shit! That was close!" With his attention now diverted on the other beast, he charged forward. The beast was the first to attack leaping high. It landed on his body, pushing him to the ground.
The beast let out a low growl, feeling its strength waning. Lodge deep in its chest was Blake's dagger with his hand soaked in blood.
"He's bleeding so much," he thought, pushing the beast off his body. Getting off the ground, two yellow orbs of light entered his body.

"I'll do that later." He thought, wiping the beads of sweat off his brow. "But the other beast, it died just from that attack? How's that possible." He knew the beast dying to another attack, he won't get the reward.
"Is it the effect of the degeneration ability?" Shrugging, he began scanning his surroundings. "Shit! I've gone farther than I'm supposed to!"
He was no longer in the Icy mist skill range. Just as he was about heading back, he heard a low growl from his sides. A group of three beasts had surrounded him and were sizing him up.
"Shit! Breath slowly. I can do this!"
Meanwhile, on the other side, a blood bath had occurred with thousands of lives lost already. The people seeing the opposite end dealing with the beasts began heading towards their direction.
"Save us! I dont wanna die!"
The screams of them echoed across the room as more kept falling to the beast onslaught.
Blake had already engaged with the beasts who charged at him at once. Fending off one attack, he felt a searing pain on his back. "Arghh!" He screamed, swinging his dagger down. The beast had failed in avoiding the attack, causing its head to be pierced down to the ground.
'My strength has increased!' Twisting his body, he barely evaded the second beast claws but was unfortunate as the third beast bit down on his shoulders.
"Dammit!" Clenching his fist, he punched hard, hitting the beast across its snout. With a painful yelp, the beast leapt away.
Just in time, he caught the claws of the other beast and, with a loud growl, slammed it to the ground. Rolling across the ground, he avoided the other beast leap and then threw his dagger right at it.
The dagger struck its abdomen, bringing the beast to the ground. His attention now on the last beast, he slammed it to the ground. He clenched his fist tightly and punched down on the beast head. A loud crack echoed within the area with the beast eye rolling to the back.
Three yellow orbs of light entered his body, and then came the refreshing feeling again. "It seems the third beast died just from that attack," he thought, staring at the pool of blood that had formed underneath the beast.
"I need to head back!"
Along the way, Blake faced a few rats, though successfully killing them off, he felt his eyelids becoming heavy. He had obtained a few cuts here and there during the clash but felt it wasn't the reason for the sudden drowsiness.
"Over here! He's over here!" He heard a voice which sounded distant as he fell on his knees. "This..." he groaned, feeling a figure edging closer to him. He clenched his dagger tightly and mustering his strength, swung forward. "It's alright! It's me! It's Mariam."
"Hey! Kent! I need help!" Miriam yelled, her eyes scanning the area in case of any beast present. Bulldozing his way through, Kent got to their position.
"What happened? Is he still alive?" He asked, carrying him on his shoulders.
"Retreat! Time for the next set to step up!"
"That's the call. Let's head back." Quickly retreating, they arrived at the back line.
Blake slowly stirred as he was dropped to the ground. "Ughh, what happened?" he muttered with a groan.
"It seems you were having fun all by yourself," Miriam said with a chuckle.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know when I left the range." He said, scratching the back of his head.
"Apparently, you ran out of mana. But you're lucky we found you in time."
"So how many kills?" Kent asked, staring at him.
"Five, six, ten? I lost track of counting," Blake muttered with a wry smile.
"What? To think I was having fun! I won't lose to you next time!"
"That means you've gotten some new skills," Miraim said.
"Oh, yeah! That's right. I wasn't able to go through it back then. Let's see the new skills!"
"Status window!"
