The nurse's words resounded in Lariette's mind as she sat quietly on the bench. Clasping her hands together, she unconsciously straightened her posture, her face expressing doubts.

Drowning in the deep pool of her thoughts, Lariette didn't notice people walking past the hallway. Only a few people waited outside Dr. Carter's office. She also forgot about Ruediger going to the restroom.
