[Chapter: 93 Alice's Entry]
After the motorcycle landed, the person on the bike took off her helmet, revealing a blonde woman. She looked bright and cheerful, with a hint of a strong aura.
William had a smile on his face, recognizing Alice.
"Get out of here," Alice called out, then started the motorcycle and drove towards the front.
The lickers had no eyes, but their hearing and heat-sensing abilities were very sharp, allowing them to locate targets through sound and heat signatures.
After driving the motorcycle for three meters, Alice performed a perfect backflip and landed steadily on the ground, while the motorcycle continued to rush forward.
A licker in front of the motorcycle, hearing the sound and feeling the heat it emitted, immediately moved toward it.
Alice swiftly pulled out two pistols from her legs, one in each hand, and aimed at the motorcycle.
Bang! Bang!
The bullets flew with precision, their trajectories visible only to William.
Boom!
The bullets hit the motorcycle's fuel tank precisely, causing it to burst into flames. A roar of pain echoed through the air as the explosion tore the licker apart, sending limbs, blood, and remains flying.
Jill, Terry, and Peyton hurried backward, staring at the scene in astonishment. Who is this woman? they wondered, awed by her strength and skill.
The last licker let out a roar, standing on a nearby stage.
Alice had already swapped her pistols for two machine guns and began firing continuously at the upper right of the licker.
"Roar!" The licker, hearing the gunfire, quickly jumped to the right.
Boom!
A massive piece of building stone fell from above, landing directly on the licker, pinning it to the stage. The creature struggled, unable to break free.
"She knew it would jump in that direction," Jill whispered to herself, surprised by the woman's accuracy and foresight.
"That's so cool," Terry shouted in amazement.
The pinned licker was still alive, growling at Alice.
Alice walked toward it, her machine gun aimed at the creature's head.
"Hou!" The licker stretched its long tongue toward Alice in desperation.
Before it could reach her, Alice pulled the trigger, the bullet piercing through the licker's head.
"Who are you?" Jill asked, approaching Alice cautiously.
"Alice," Alice replied curtly.
"My name is Jill," Jill said, studying Alice carefully.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
William clapped his hands as he approached. "Awesome, you saved us," he said, feigning admiration.
"Who killed it?" Alice asked, pointing to the licker's corpse on the ground, the one William had shot earlier.
"It was William," Terry said immediately, her tone proud. "He killed the monster with one shot."
"Really?" Alice looked at William, intrigued. "That's… amazing."
"Hehe, please don't praise me like that," William said with a grin.
"Pretender," Jill muttered dismissively.
"Jill, when did I ever provoke you? Come on now, we should enjoy life while we can," William said with mock seriousness.
Jill turned her face away, her expression unreadable. While William joked around, his skills proved he had substance.
"We must leave here quickly," Alice said, heading outside.
"Where should we go?" Terry asked.
"We need to escape this hell of a city. If we stay here, we'll all die," Alice replied firmly.
"That makes sense. Let's go," William said, following Alice.
"William, wait for me," Terry called, quickly catching up.
Jill and Peyton exchanged glances before following. Staying behind was clearly not an option.
William walked beside Alice, his gaze wandering toward her chest. Though it wasn't overly large, he mused to himself that it could still grow.
"What would it feel like to be shot in the head?" Alice asked coldly.
"Hmm," Jill snorted before William could reply. "Someone here should definitely try it."
"Hey, come on now," William said, grinning. "Do you want to shoot me now, or wait until I become a zombie? Who knows, maybe I've already been bitten. Maybe I'll bite…"
Alice suddenly pointed her pistol at William's face. "Don't you dare."
"What are you guys doing?" Terry asked worriedly.
William smiled and gently moved Alice's gun away. "Ding ding ding! Relax, don't be so impulsive."
Alice said nothing, holstering her gun before walking ahead.
Terry shot William a disapproving look. "Don't antagonize them."
"I was just trying to lighten the mood, Terry," William said, attempting a serious expression.
The group continued walking until they came across a cemetery, filled with rows of tombstones.
"Do you know what those are?" Terry asked Alice.
"Biological weapons," Alice replied. "They were developed by the Umbrella Corporation in an underground lab."
Terry adjusted the camera in her hand. "How are you so familiar with the Umbrella Corporation?"
"I used to work for them."
"Aaaah!" Peyton screamed, collapsing against a tree and stretching out his legs. "Damn it!"
Alice's expression shifted as she immediately aimed her gun at Peyton.
"Stop! What are you doing?" Jill demanded, pointing her gun at Alice.
"He's been bitten. The virus is spreading," Alice said, her tone icy.
"I'm fine," Peyton protested, grimacing in pain.
"You should deal with this now. If he turns, it'll be too late," Alice insisted, addressing Jill.
"No. If he does turn, I'll deal with him myself," Jill said, stepping closer and resting her hand on Alice's gun.
Alice stared at Jill for a long moment before lowering her weapon. "Fine. Do what you want."
William smirked. "Everyone has the right to fight for survival."
Alice shrugged. "I have no problem with him, but in an hour, he'll be like them. If he attacks, I won't hesitate to kill him."
Suddenly, Terry screamed and fell to the ground.
A pair of rotting hands had emerged from beneath the soil, dragging a zombie up from the earth.
