CH: 159 Uncle Ergou

{Chapter: 159 Uncle Ergou}

The door creaked open, and the first thing William and Alice saw was a long row of operating tables. Each table bore a shriveled corpse, its form reduced to little more than skin and bones, barely recognizable as human. The bodies were covered with white sheets, but the desiccated limbs poking out from beneath them were enough to paint a horrifying picture of what had happened here.

A massive electronic screen stood ahead, blocking their view of the room's interior. The cold, sterile glow of the screen cast eerie shadows across the lifeless bodies, making the scene even more unsettling.

William and Alice exchanged a glance, then stepped forward together. As they approached, the electronic screen hummed to life and began to rise. But before they could take in what lay beyond, another screen appeared behind it, obscuring their sight once more.

Through the faint reflection on the second screen, it was clear—someone was standing behind it.

The second screen lifted, revealing a man sitting atop what looked like a toilet lid, clad in a black suit and sunglasses. His expression was unreadable, exuding an unnatural coldness as his gaze fixed upon them.

Alice smirked. "Wesker, we meet again."

"You're finally here," Wesker replied, his tone devoid of emotion. "I was beginning to wonder how much longer it would take."

William folded his arms, scrutinizing the man before him. "Wow, you're cold—like some kind of final boss in a video game."

A smirk played at the corners of Wesker's lips. "William… At last, we meet in person. I've been looking forward to studying you."

William clicked his tongue in irritation. "Can you stop phrasing things so creepily? I'm not into guys."

Before Wesker could respond, a low, menacing growl filled the room.

Two grotesque zombie dogs emerged from the shadows behind him, their decayed flesh barely clinging to their skeletal frames as they advanced with measured steps, snarling.

"Stop," Wesker commanded coolly. "Sit."

To Alice's surprise, the monstrous creatures obeyed instantly, lowering their haunches and sitting on either side of him like well-trained pets.

William suddenly burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.

Wesker narrowed his eyes. "What's so funny?"

"I finally get why some people call you an idiot," William said between chuckles. "You really do look ridiculous sitting there like that."

Wesker's expression darkened. "An idiot? William, you will soon regret those words." A cold, oppressive aura radiated from him, his presence alone exerting a heavy pressure.

William's smile faded as his gaze turned sharp. "Everyone who's ever tried to act cool in front of me is dead. Do you think you'll be any different?"

Wesker stood, his movement slow and deliberate. "I know you're no ordinary human. You successfully bonded with the T-virus, just like Alice." His smirk widened. "But I am beyond either of you."

William scoffed, clapping his hands. "Wow. That's some top-tier bragging right there."

Wesker adjusted his sunglasses. "Once I consume you, I will eliminate my control limitations permanently. I will become unstoppable."

"Hahahaha…" William laughed again, this time shaking his head. "You look like a final boss, but you sure talk like a total moron."

The laughter vanished in an instant as William's figure blurred. In the blink of an eye, he appeared right in front of Wesker and delivered a devastating punch straight to his face.

A loud crack echoed through the room.

Wesker's body shot backward, crashing hard into the steel wall. His sunglasses shattered, fragments of dark glass falling to the floor.

"Roar!"

The two zombie dogs lunged at William.

But before they could reach him, his body flickered and reappeared in another spot. He turned to Alice. "Alice, these mutts are all yours. Knock yourself out."

Wesker groaned, pushing himself to his feet. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his eyes flashing red with fury. "William… You just made a grave mistake."

William tilted his head. "And what if I did?" He curled a finger, beckoning Wesker forward.

Wesker vanished.

In an instant, he reappeared in front of William, his fist striking toward him with superhuman speed.

William caught his wrist mid-air.

Wesker reacted swiftly, using his free leg to launch a powerful kick at William's chest. The impact sent William flying back, his body crashing into the far wall. He slid down slowly but stood up without much effort.

Wesker smirked, then disappeared again.

A split second later, he materialized at William's side, launching another vicious kick aimed at his head.

William raised an arm, blocking the strike, and retaliated with a punch to Wesker's face.

With a pained grunt, Wesker was hurled across the room, slamming into the wall once more.

Spitting out three broken teeth, he screamed in rage. "You damn—!"

A fresh red handprint was visible on his cheek, his previously intimidating presence completely shattered.

William sighed. "I have to admit, you're tougher than I thought."

Wesker got to his feet, his breathing heavy. "I underestimated you."

William smirked. "Oh, don't give me that. You're not allowed to make excuses after getting your ass kicked."

Both men vanished at the same time.

A powerful shockwave rippled through the room as they clashed mid-air, sending debris flying.

Wesker was the first to be thrown back, rolling across the floor.

William didn't even budge. "You'll lose if you keep trying to fight me head-on."

"It's the same T-virus," Wesker muttered as he stood again.

"The same T-virus, huh?" William's pupils darkened. "Then why am I so much stronger than you?" His presence flared. "Just give up already, Wesker. Go die quietly."

A powerful wave of energy blasted from William's body.

Wesker's mouth twisted into a grin. "What a joke. Do you really think—"

Before he could finish, the force sent him hurtling backward, crashing through a thick iron wall.

William turned toward Alice with a casual stride.

Alice had already finished off the zombie dogs. She narrowed her eyes as William approached, suddenly raising her gun—

Bang!

A single gunshot rang out.

But it wasn't William's head that exploded.

Behind him, Wesker staggered, blood gushing from a fresh bullet wound in his skull.

He wavered before collapsing to the floor.

William blinked. "Wait… Alice, you just saved me?" He grinned mischievously. "That's not very on-brand for you. Don't you hate me?"

Alice scoffed, holstering her gun. "Killing you now wouldn't benefit me."

"Hmm… Is that so?"" William smirked.

"Ugh…"

A grotesque squelching noise filled the air. Wesker's body convulsed, and his mouth contorted into a horrific, gaping maw lined with razor-sharp teeth.

With an inhuman shriek, he lunged at William.

William barely glanced at him before delivering a swift kick. "Back off."

Wesker was sent flying once more, tumbling across the ground.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bullets suddenly rained down on him from the side.

Claire, Chris, and Luther stood in the corner, their weapons unloading round after round into Wesker's body.

His skull was punctured, his form riddled with bullets. Finally, he collapsed—motionless.

William let out a slow clap. "Well, congrats. You guys officially beat the final boss." He stretched. "Now that that's over, we should go out and—"

ROOOOAR!

A monstrous bellow shook the air.

The entire ship trembled violently.

Something massive had just landed.
