Countless isles stretched for hundreds of meters, various sections for different occasions making sure no situation was left without an outfit, though some of those articles of clothing were goofy with cheesy lines from movies or shows. Her eyes were drawn to the accessory section, it was filled to the brim with fake jewellery and gloves that stretched across most of her arms. From a young age, she wanted to recreate a look she had seen in a cartoon, but rarely did she leave her house to purchase clothes, normally her mother purchased everything for her.
Bianca had run off somewhere far from them, normally her blond hair would serve as an easy beacon to finding her, but this store was filled with fake blonds. Priscilla smiled at the opportunity to leave her behind in this store. Noir had already gotten to work, his hands getting busy through different pieces that could look good on Priscilla's slender frame. Before long he had managed to gather at least three outfits that all possessed their own different personalities. He pulled Priscilla and Lucia's hands along toward the fitting rooms, a young woman handed them a small plastic card to slide into the dressing area.
Priscilla nabbed the clothes from him, entering the room alone and taking her time getting changed. From behind the closed doors, a young lady emerged, a red beret sitting atop her head which complimented her white flowy shirt, puffed up around the cuffs. Finished with a beautiful pair of jet-black plated trousers that opened up toward the bottom.
'10/10 ! Encore! More, more!' Lucia couldn't contain herself, somehow, somewhere, she managed to get a scorecard that was nearly torn apart being waved in the air.
Noir stared intently, finally a smile and a nod of approval, the stylist's ultimate thumbs up. 'You are the best canvas, Priscilla! Try out the rest, your fans are patiently waiting for you.' He gestured back toward the changing room.
She disappeared once more behind the purple door, and seconds passed before she emerged once more, this time covered with an oversized moss-green hoodie. Her long legs were exposed by the brown pair of shorts he had paired with the hoodie, Priscilla looked straight out of the countryside, waiting to go back and spend time with her mee maw.
'11/10 Simply the best! Much better than the blond-headed girl!' Lucia preached while waving a new card with the upgrade mark.
Noir took his time, inspecting every angle of her outfit, making sure it was working to what his imagination had planned. 'Sigh. It works but it's missing something. I was looking for a cap but couldn't find any, this will do for dinner though.' He shrugged returning to the seat against the wall, sitting close to the foaming Lucia.
She entered the closet for the third time, only one last outfit to try on, a certain familiarity forcing a smile onto her lips. Minutes passed, this time taking every possible ensuring it was properly worn to bring out its full potential. The door sprung open revealing the nervous Priscilla, her hands were struggling to sit still even when clasped together, and her hair caught up with a large witch's hat. Her red eyes glowed through the shadow cast by the large brim. Fabric hung from her shoulders down to her ankles, with gloves stretching from her elbow to the tips of her fingers.
Lucia sat lost for words, no large card could express the awe that had been running through her body yet immobilizing her. Noir stood similarly still, inspecting every aspect of her green outfit, she felt a little embarrassed being ogled at but knew it was for a good cause.
'You look divine.' Those were his first words, he held back on grabbing around the outfit trying not to make her uncomfortable. Her eyes danced around the room, several strangers stared at her, phones out recording the beauty that emerged from a dressing room. Now her cheeks and eyes were red, a little lightheadedness kicking in, her vision failing to see Bianca in the back amazed at how great she looked in the dress. Despite how much she hated the idea of someone competing with her in looks or academics, in that moment alone she garnered a little respect for Priscilla.
==================================================================
The electronic beep of the scanner hastily summed up the price of each item, Lucia swiped her card as if money didn't exist in her world. Priscilla ended up wearing the hoodie and shorts, the clothes she had on were dirty from all the fighting and staying up countless nights. But she plucked her phone out of the back Noir had it on his back, and several messages from her mother sat in the chat box, waiting patiently to be answered. On the one hand, she could bring everyone to her house and eat there, but on the other, Bianca was there and her mother despised the girl immensely.
'There is a nice restaurant that cooks their chicken in a secret sauce, we should head there for lunch!' Lucia was quick to get out of there, several touristy websites loaded on her phone for the best possible outing. Her eyes gleamed with childlike excitement, while the rest stared at her feeling a little embarrassed.
'Thanks again Noir, your choices are impeccable.' Priscilla bowed her head.
'And thank you for a perfect canvas, Priscilla.' He nodded his head in response.
'Yuck.' Bianca ran off to catch up to Lucia, she couldn't stand listening to Priscilla for another second.
'So what's your current plan? Will you continue researching spells for the cards or would you like some hand-to-hand combat training?' Noir was curious as it had crossed his mind several times to teach her how to fight without using magic. The use of it was forbidden against citizens to ensure the existence of witches didn't leak out into the public.
'Well, considering my strength and agility are pretty high I figured some hands-on training like that might help me more than only studying and experimenting with spells. I have seen a lot of videos about taekwondo, is that really effective?' Priscilla hoped for a yes, when scrolling on social media she often received many videos of martial arts with funky little songs behind them.
'I wouldn't say it's the absolute best martial art, but for kicking power I would say its second to none. A more well-rounded one would be kickboxing, and if you want to really get in close even Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu.' He went off, listing more martial arts that all had their own pros and cons, however Priscilla's attention was ripped from him by the giant chicken store. It was shaped like a massive egg with semi-transparent windows allowing some of the indoor light to seep out.
Lucia, Bianca and Tasha waited patiently for them, there was no rush but Priscilla's stomach grumbled scaring a small dog nearby.
The inside of the store smelled like lavender, there were no seats on the ground floor, just several front desks with employees smiling while dealing with a long line of customers. Soon their turn came, and the clerk pulled out five menus and guided them toward a large table. The drinks soon arrived while the delicious food was being cooked to perfection. Noir pulled a travel-size pack of uno cards, waving them around his head trying to grab everyone's attention, and sure enough four of them decided to play. Lucia had to take another phone call, leaving the table temporarily. This time, her voice seemed a little panicked as she wandered away.
'So, who wants to deal?'
'Not me!' Tasha, Priscilla and Bianca chanted in unison.
A piece of parchment paper appeared before Priscilla.

'Shit...' This was only her second time playing the game, though she did not understand the purpose of the coins. Restless sleep sounded really rough after pulling all-nighters most of this week.
'Game on!' A quivering smirk spread across her face.
