The cards were dealt and tensions were high, Priscilla's eyes scanned across the table, analyzing every little twitch or facial twitch that might give information away. She placed down a green four on the yellow four, the turn ending back on Noir who pulled a couple of cards. Slowly the game rotated back to Priscilla, a reverse card and a loud 'Uno!'. Her final card was a plus four, the cheapest way to win sure, but who was she to question morality when precious sleep was on the line?
'Boom!' The final card slapped onto the table, a mixture of reactions from the other three, but the most important thing to her was the information on the quest changing.
The next set of cards was dealt, a perfect hand to make someone suffer landed on her end of the table. And without much time passing, a second victory was acquired. This time even Noir was a little upset, after all, he was hit with a plus two four rounds in a row and ended with an uno reverse.
'Let's change seats, you are hogging all the good fortune.' Noir demanded.
'Just deal the cards, pretty boy.' She smiled in his direction, his mind was already in shambles so driving in another nail was a must to ensure another victory. But, lady luck only smiled upon her temporarily, Bianca managed to steal the third round just before Priscilla could place her final card. She had gotten up from her seat, dancing in the middle of the floor before a waiter gently asked her to sit back down.
'Minor setback, no biggie.' Priscilla whispered to herself, trying to cope as the time was quickly ticking away, only fifteen more minutes before her time limit expired. She was the one to deal the cards this time, sliding a plus four into her sleeve. The first three rounds proceeded like normal until she pulled out the cheap win once more. Accusations flew across the table, betting that Priscilla cheated to be getting all these good cards, while they were not wrong, they also didn't know that she did cheat.
Lucia sat back at the table, and her phone instantly slid back inside of her purse. 'So, what are you all doing?'
'Uno. Wanna join?' Noir asked, the rules technically don't allow more than four players, but who were they to deny a friend some fun? The fifth set of cards was dealt, and the atmosphere compared to the third one had grown suffocating. Each round dragged on longer than the last but the clock continued ticking until a beautiful golden seven landed in Priscilla's hand and got slapped onto the jumbled mess in the middle of the table.
'Wow, another win to Priscilla. Who would've figured?' Noir spoke with much sarcasm laced in every word. Bianca rolled her eyes and put her cards in the middle and Tasha left for the toilet. Three minutes left, she thought. While the rest seemed disinterested in playing another round, Lucia was already shuffling the cards, a one-on-one duel between them to decide whether she would be able to sleep well for the next few days or not.
The cards slid across the smooth table, Lucia's eyes scanned Priscilla's body movements, uncomfortable shifts caused by her own constant leering. Priscilla placed a green six, followed by a green nine and ended with a red nine. Lucia drew from the pile, choosing not to place her plus four down. Priscilla's slender hand placed two red fours on top and called an early uno, a large smirk across her face told Lucia that confidence had already set into Priscilla's mind.
Lucia slapped down her plus-four, changing the colour to yellow and laughing in her face. Priscilla shook her finger, showing an identical card that found its way onto the pile, victory had once more blessed Priscilla. Just before Lucia could speak up, a cute waiter brought several plates filled with delicious-looking variations of the same ingredient. Lucia had gone for a modest full chicken while Noir dove into a large plate of drumsticks. Bianca had opted for an easier-to-eat chicken breast, lightly seasoned with plenty of sauce to accompany it. Tasha spoke very highly of her chicken sandwich, though it boasted a high price, it was quite large, so much so that she struggled to hold it in one hand.
Priscilla had gone for a fillet burger, and the sauce dripped onto the plate, narrowingly missing her new hoodie. The cheese melted down from the chicken onto the bun with sesame seeds baked inside, crunchy lettuce and a slice of steak tomato filled her mouth, there was a reason the burger was nicknamed ''Heaven on Earth''.

'Whew I'm stuffed, and there are only two correct choices on what you should do after eating such a hearty meal.' Noir stood before them, awaiting an answer.
'Sleep!' Priscilla chanted.
'That is one of them yes. But while we are here. Why don't we...Hmm, I don't know. Perhaps, watch a movie!!'
'What would we even watch?' Bianca asked, she couldn't even fake her friendliness anymore.
'The Witch-inator!! A rogue witch created by witch-net to go back in time and prevent the birth of the man that would stop the company from selling nuclear weapons!!'
'Ohh! I've been meaning to watch that, the cinemas were always quite full and I had no one to go with...' Her initial excitement faded away as she remembered the reason behind never watching any movies outside of her home.
The automatic doors slid open, Priscilla worried a little bit about the price but soon remembered the tickets were free. At least that's what it felt like with Lucia around. They each selected some snacks and quickly took their seats in the vast cinema room, despite the ads already being on not many people had taken their spots.
Within the first five minutes of the movie Priscilla already departed toward the restroom, carpeted corridors of funky designs stretched too far beyond what she could see. A dark figure peeks its head from around the corner in the distance, staring intently with two beady little blue eyes. A curiosity lit inside of her, but the need for relief overpowered it.
Overhead lights began flickering at random intervals, a nervousness setting into her bones but knowing Lucia was with them made her feel safer. The door swung out, and the flickering lights continued, she allowed her eyes to wander back toward the edge of the corridor, hoping to see the little figure again, but it was gone.
The loudspeakers of the screen room blared from behind the sound-proof door, little strips of red light guided her up the stairs back toward her seat. But they were all gone.
