Theatre of Emotions

Waves of empty chairs descended from the projector room, panic had washed her of any peaceful emotion she had felt today. Priscilla scurried around the room frantically in the event that they were all doing some big prank to catch her out. But not a single trace of their departure was left behind, just spilt drinks and half-eaten popcorn buckets.

She ran outside of the room, the doors swinging shut behind her, the corridors just as empty as the screen room. There were no clerks at the front desk, every exit was shrouded in darkness and the only sounds that could be heard were muffled distant movies playing on different screens. Regret continued eating away at her, why did she have to use the bathroom at that time? The scene unfolding in her mind, a shadowy figure in the far-off part of the corridor, paying it no mind back then was the wrong choice.

A whistle escaped her lips, calling forth her helpful broom, but it never appeared. Blood spilt from her thumb from a broken piece of glass, and the scissors appeared before her, though no bickering followed the summon. It was unusual for the two blood blades not cto omplain about being summoned, something was seriously wrong and Priscilla was starting to lose it. Her strands had tied themselves around her fingers, each crazed breath plucking more than before.

She paced around the lobby wondering whether searching for the entity was the best idea, on one hand, it could be dangerous and with little mobility there wasn't much she could do if it was stronger than her. On the other hand, there is nothing to do about the situation, every exit was blocked by a dark ether that whispered into her mind the closer she got.

Several minutes passed before she had chosen to find the entity, the last known sighting was in the corridor, but this cinema was one of the largest in the country. There were countless corridors that had dead ends, it was built like a maze for the purpose of moviegoers to never leave and continue enjoying the joys of movies. She began wandering the halls, her eyes peeled for any sight of the little jerk that might have been responsible for trapping her.

A little head popped from around the corner, the same one as previously, staring intently at Priscilla. Before he could even blink she had already closed half of the distance, a single slash ripping the wall apart revealing a large muscular body toned with grey outlines. An audible gulp rang between them before she created some space between them, a quick glance at her scissors showed that it had gotten a little chip from the impact against him.

'Shit! Why are you more durable than a damn Vaundr.' The big creature did not respond, it also did not move, like it was waiting for Priscilla to strike once more. A quick dash placed her directly before him, she wound up her arm for the strongest attack she could muster. The tension quickly released, the knife being lodged between the biceps of the creature, a look of worry washing over her face.

Just as she was about to start running away he walked around the corner, disappearing like before. But no one had come back, it was still empty, and the information she acquired proved to be useless. An entity far above her had trapped her in a separate dimension with no exit in sight.

A parchment appeared before her with the next quest inscribed.

'Right..Not worrisome at all.' The time started ticking, ink across the paper changed with each passing second. Though the time period seemed generous, finding an exit seemed to be her only option, the entity was simply too durable for the current Priscilla.

Her hands swiped at the dark walls trapping her inside, each wave of the blade was slowed the further out it went. On the opposite end of the room, a large door that looked out of place emerged with three empty containers. Just above each one, a little plate with a colour and the word ''Key'' allowed her to piece the clues together. On the poster wall that contained every movie shown at the moment, there were three that stuck out with special frames in the order Blue, Yellow, and Red.

Priscilla was hesitant to jump through, but it seemed like the only option with no other way forward. 'Here goes nothing!' Her face warped through the blue painting, a myriad greeting her before a solid world took place. It was the outside, a small little park gated off from people walking around on the street. The world felt slightly darker though it appeared to be midday, but she wasted no time and started searching around for anything that seemed to be a key.

Kids' laughter filled the air, the squeaks of seesaws and swinging irritating her ear slightly, but who was she to ruin the kids' fun? Along a more secluded pathway, sniffles directed her to a nearby bush, a young girl possibly half Priscilla's age was crying, bruises littered across her arms and legs.

Leaves ruffled, exposing Priscilla as she approached the little girl. 'What's wrong? Who did this to you?'

*Sniff Sniff* 'I-It was some girls from my school. They broke my dolls and started hurting me..' Priscilla's chest tightened something inside her resonating with the little girl. She offered the girl her hand and walked her away from the large bush.

'What's your name?'

'Macy.'

'Hello Macy, my name is Priscilla. Why don't we go and make those girls apologize?' Priscilla smiled sweetly at her. But Macy shook her head slowly.

'They would just pick on me more at school...' Priscilla's fist clenched tighter, a fiery feeling burning in her soul, but it was not justice.

'Don't worry Macy, I know how to make them apologize.'
