Theatre of Emotions (5)

His warm breath tickled Priscilla's neck, her mind danced around, jumping through hoops trying to justify what was happening. 'It's for completing the scenario!' She muttered under her breath, one of her hands wiggling around to feel for anything that could be the key. If it was like the previous one it should have a slight yellow hue and release a gentle light.

As time passed they stopped embracing each other, the vampires had been quiet for a long stretch of time and they could hardly wait another second to knock the fire back on. Priscilla handed him the dry lumber which soon found its way on to the hungry fire. The flames danced across her eyes, heat caressing her cheeks and slowly pushing her to take off the blanket that had been protecting her from the fangs of the blizzard.

Her fingers ran across the bejeweled rim of the watch, there was nothing to do in that little cabin, especially when vampires would return if it got too noisy. Something snagged Priscilla's eye under the floor bored, it glowed faintly but only a small section could be seen through the cracks, but it was yellow and that is all she needed to know.

'Hey..do you see that under your floorboards?' She dragged him over to inspect the object, his eyes darkened for a second before asking her.

'Do you need it?' He asked in a deeper voice, this time devoid of emotions.

Priscilla nodded her head excitedly at the possibility of completing the scenario. 'Yes, would that be alright?'

'No!'

She backed away, his tone much louder than it needed to be, scared her off. Without missing a beat, the blood thirsty vampires were back, banging on the walls and reaching their fangs inside of small cracks.

'But I need it to get out of here?'

'You need my family heirloom to get out of here?! Is this what you were here for this whole time?' Vulcan's annoyance filled the room, his voice thundered through the wooden walls as he slowly approached Priscilla. The wooden stick was still tightly tucked away in her hoodie in case things got messy, but she wanted to avoid this conflict if at all possible.

'I know it sounds strange, but its the truth!' She pressed her hand onto her chest.

'What if you come with me? I need it to get out of here, but you could leave with me where there are no vampires. You would be safe there with me, and I could protect you much easier with my actual wand!'

'Yeah right! As far as I know you are just slightly more intelligent than the rest and you are luring me outside to be dried out.' He turned his back on her, placing himself at the kitchen table where picked up a small block of wood, carving more intricate designs than the spoon from earlier. Priscilla just stared at him, when his focus was solely on the knife and wood block she slid open the floorboard revealing the moon-shaped golden arch.

A blade flew just under head, slicing a bit of her skin apart before hitting against the far wall. 'I said, leave it there!' He swiftly moved from his seat to grab Priscilla's hand, but he was no match for her superior speed. She placed herself onto his old seat, a portal the same size as a door appeared by the fireplace. Vulcan's eyes grew, a feeling of shame growing in his chest as he realized she had not been lying to him.

'Listen, I will give it back to you after I use it for what is needed. I promise.' She stuck out her finger, a slight blush spreading across her cheeks.

'Alright...' He locked his pinkie around hers and shook on it. Hand in hand they trudged to the portal that reflected the cinema entrance back to them.

'WHAT THE FUC-' A large boulder had rolled through the side of the house, creating a large enough space for the vampires to creep in.

'I thought you said that vampires couldn't enter houses!'

'WELL ITS NOT A HOUSE IF ITS MISSING TWO WALLS!'

Priscilla pulled his arm, jumping through the yellow portal back into the cinema. She breathe a sigh of relief whilst holding onto the yellow crystal smile.

'See, we made it out alive!' The world was once more devoid of others, it was just Priscilla and a cardboard cutout of Vulcan with a smile on his face.

Tears formed around her eyes, even hugging the cutout wasn't enough to remind her of his warmth. Briskly, she carried the cutout back to the room where they had been originally. The movie was playing on repeat, at this point it could have repeated over ten times.

The grey and black cinema walls seemed to change slightly, cracks in the walls with little beady eyes staring down Priscilla's every move. Each step echoed through the lobby, the door waiting for its second key to be placed inside pulsed with green sparks that rippled through the air. The box closed with the second key securely stored inside, now all that was left was the final red poster. It stared menacingly at Priscilla, a picture of a tall dark castle in the midst of a lightning storm with a blood moon illuminating the background forest.

'That one would have been more suited for a vampire story. But who am I to complain?' She walked over to the poster, placing her hand against the plexiglass protecting the image. Unlike the other portal she was not able to simply step inside.

'Witch Quest!'

The parchment paper materialized in the air, slowly falling down into her hands.

'Plenty of time left, it would be nice to finish this whole thing before the timer goes past halfway. But...that castle surely has something extreme planned for me.' Priscilla looked down at her hand, the silver watch had still remained to her wrist without turning into cardboard.

Her pale hand brushed against the plexiglass. 'Witch Inspect!'

Priscilla shrugged her shoulders, it was often that she had cut herself for combat so doing this wasn't much different. The twig slashed across her hand drawing blood that splattered against the thin barrier. Within seconds it began melting, allowing powerful winds to escape through the poster into lobby. Without wasting a second, she jumped through, entering Dracula's castle.
