Flying High

The airport lobby was bustling with people, shoving each other to get their alcohol or complimentary package for booking overpriced flights. Priscilla's eyes wandered around, wondering just where Lucia would be taking her this time. It was her first time flying abroad, and with someone she met no earlier than a month ago, though in this time Lucia had proved herself to be trustworthy enough to keep around.

Priscilla continued looking around the magazine that sat on a random seat, it was filled with upcoming tech events and even random dishes that could never be recreated in personal kitchens. Her mouth began to water, trying to hint at Lucia to sit at one of he hundreds of restaurants that were equally full.

'Is it not possible to wait a couple of more minutes? We are about to board the plane.' Lucia pointed at the already forming line, the stewards began checking passports hastily, each passenger passing rhythmically every couple of seconds.

'Alright....but you have to buy me a lot of snacks on the flight!' Priscilla crossed her arms while being pulled toward the line.

'Sure sure. I will get you all of the snack they have.'

Minutes passed which turned into a whole hour of checking in, finally making it onto the packed plane filled with smelly people and screaming children. Lucia's eyes were bloodshot, the annoyance of ordinary humans building up quickly. She had booked the first flights she could, meaning they were sitting in economy with millions in the bank.

'I can't take it anymore. These people are too loud.'

'We have barely been on the plane for five minutes.'

Lucia began spamming the flight attendant button, calling for a seat upgrade ASAP. Her foot shook against the floor, if it weren't so windy Priscilla would've assume it was Lucia that was rocking the plane. From her backpack she withdrew some ear plugs. 'Maybe these might help.'

In the blink of an eye Lucia snatched the little yellow foam pieces and jammed them in her ears. She had finally felt tranquil. Until a large man bumped into her arm knocking her coffee onto the floor.

Lucia hadn't even bothered looking up, her angered bubbled, waiting to spill over the top at any moment.

'Sorry miss, I didn't mean to-'

'Its fine! Don't worry about it, she will be fine.' Priscilla piped up before Lucia could take any action. She shot Priscilla a grim glare before closing her eyes and rubbing her temples.

An older flight attended creeped along the centre of the plane, her hands clasping together and greeting the two with a warm smile. 'How may I assist you today?'

'Upgrade. First class. Two.' Lucia growled at the quivering flight attendant.

'R-Right away!' She began taking their bags and dragging them along to a different section of the plane, a curtain separated the plebians from those that had money to splurge, and Lucia was one of those people. Priscilla stared wide-eyed at the completely different vibe the first class area exuded, it was filled with cubicles that ranged from one seat all toward the three seater, a small sliding door separating it from the path.

The duo quickly found their new seat fitted with every drink one could ever want, a large TV with a console hooked up from its protective case. Priscilla had trouble finding exactly what to do first, Lucia however instantly jumped into the snack bar that was provided.

'You should take advantage of this while you still can little Pris.'

'Wha- Who told you that?' Priscilla grew red, trying to cover herself with her slender fingers making her image even more cute for Lucia.

'Take a guess who did.'

'Noir.'

'You should buy a lottery ticket!' Lucia laughed in her face while chewing on a handful of crisps. 'So like I said, dig in.'

Priscilla shook her head. 'I am trying to watch my weight.'

'Girl, you are shaped like a baked potato. Dig in before I force some gummy worms into your mouth.'

'Say that again to me and I promise you this plane won't make it to its destination.'

Lucia paused for a second, before continued to snack, much faster than before. The TV turned on, a short movie about some kind of bee trying to sue mankind played. There was Witch-flix installed with a stable enough internet connection to stream it on the large TV, but the company had terrible taste in what movies to license so the choices were limited.

Priscilla's head shot back into her seat, the airplane began speeding along the concrete strip, its wings slicing the air to propel its self onto the fluffy clouds. Her eyes opened to the beautiful clouds coloured by the orange setting sun, on her other side was the not so beautiful Lucia chugging a two litre bottle of soda.

'Do you not have any self-control?'

'Nope.'

Priscilla shook her head in disappointment knowing the long flight ahead will truly test her patience with this nasty witch.
