The flight shook for a brief moment of time, Lucia who had been fast asleep jolted awake as Priscilla clung to her arm, her figure was shaking with fear of the worst. Lucia patted her head, reassuring her that everything would be alright. 'Don't worry little Pris, dark clouds are not enough to take our plane down, especially with me on board. Worst case scenario I can lift the plane up with my magic and make an emergency landing somewhere along the way.'
'That's true...but still, do you not feel at all worried? Everything seems to go wrong when I am involved. The first time it was when we met, then it was the ritual, the Vaundrs invading the cavern and even just a couple of days ago in the theatre.'
'Tsk tsk my dearie, do you know how gravity works?'
'Yes but that's a random thing to throw in randomly.'
'Its not random, just listen to me. A weak person attracts no one, an ugly guy gets no bitches and so on. But you are powerful, therefore you attract tougher opponents and challenges. Its not that you are an omen of hard times, you simply are a beacon calling all of the dark forces to be vanquished.' Lucia pumped her fist up, barely missing a flight attendant's head as they wandered the paths.
Priscilla looked down at her hands, though it was hard to believe Lucia's words, she realised that something was not right with her. Seeing Bianca struggling to do simple things for Priscilla was a huge indicator, she cast her hand forward, clutching at the empty space. 'I will grow even stronger!'
'Hehehe' Lucia giggled staring at Priscilla cute face, her determination was admirable for someone of that age. In her pocket she had managed to sneak in her pearly white wand, the gemstones shone beautifully in the dim LED strips that lined each wall.
'What do you think of this wand Lucia?' She handed the wand over to the grand witch. Her experienced eyes peered closely at the gemstones, she had questions but decided to hold off until fully finishing the inspection.
Minutes passed, the movie getting more boring each passing second, Priscilla had managed to doze off while waiting for Lucia.
'Alright, I'm done.' Lucia nudged Priscilla lightly, several times. Each little push began to become more aggressive until a decisive slap managed to seal the deal.
'What the fuck was that for?!' She rubbed her cheek trying to wash away the redness that lingered on her skin.
'I said I was done.' She held up the wand toward Priscilla, a quick snatch and it was hidden in her pocket.
'I don't know where you managed to get such a powerful wand, its funny though. It appears to have some inclination toward fire magic, pity you haven't learned any. But aside from that, different materials and gemstones offer varied levels of power. But its not simply about materials, a rookie craftsman could make garbage out of high end materials. And a master craftsman could turn paper into a powerful weapon.'
Priscilla remembered her test results, she was the type that specialize in making these items, a new passion burned in her chest to begin a new path toward mastering the art of crafting. 'Do you think I could learn how to do it soon?'
'There are professors at Patagonia that are master craftsmen, they would always be welcoming people with open arms. You see, there has been a shortage in particular items lately, and some items can only be handled by high ranking craftsmen. They would train you in a year to be at least a mid-tier crafter.'
'And let me guess, you will want me to craft those items for you?'
'Well when you say it like that I sound pretty greedy. But the reality of the situation is that every witch has to contribute towards their coven in some way. I am happy waving those requirements for you at this moment, but once you are capable of doing it you will repay my kindness.'
Priscilla nodded her head, there was no point to argue, it was true Lucia had done so much for her already. Especially considering the cost of attending Patagonia, she shuddered thinking about how long it would take to pay it all back at minimum wage.
Time flew by and their first stop was drawing closer, the videos of of New York were a lot more flattering than what she was seeing. From there however they would have to wait close to a day for their next flight toward Paris.
'Once we land can we visit someplace truly special?' Priscilla clasped her hands together, pleading to the grand witch.
'Sure, what do you have in mind?' Lucia questioned curiously.
