Ryuen chuckled softly, shaking his head.

He took a step back to increase the distance between himself and her, then he smiled.

"Persistent, aren't you?"

"You're avoiding the question."

He sighed, shoving his hands back into his pockets. "I'm human."

"Or you don't know what you are?"

She didn't look convinced—if anything, she thought otherwise.

"You're too fast, even in complete darkness."

"That's not something a person who just arrived a few days ago can do... not without enhancements or years of specialized training."

"I was training since seventeen, and I'm twenty-two, so..."

"That's assassin-class training. You have the build, the mind, but the rest is far beyond that."

"You're either a Versatile Assassin or a Mage... and I doubt that's it."

Ryuen sighed, visibly exhausted. "I only came here to clarify a few things. Now I'm being interrogated."
