"How can she think like this? Her boy is clearly brilliant and gifted, yet she's determined to brand him a failure for everyone to see?"

My birth mother also quickly checked my diploma. Upon confirming its authenticity, her face immediately showed disbelief.

"Evelyn, it's obvious Vincent got into Stellar. Why would you do something like this?"

"He's your own child!"

For once, Evelyn seemed unsure how to respond.

Her reaction made everyone present start to believe what I had said.

"Is it possible he's not actually her biological son? Is that the reason for her awful behavior?"

"Was there a mix-up with the babies back then?"

"Even a mix-up doesn't excuse this, does it? The only explanation is that Evelyn knew about this all along!"

"Perhaps Evelyn deliberately switched the children?"

After all, this was the only reason that could explain Evelyn's puzzling actions over the years.
