The door creaked open and Luca walked in, his hazel eyes glancing around the living room.
Adam was seated with his legs crossed and his eyes squeezed shut even though he wasn't asleep.
"Sir…" he mouthed quietly, biting his lips as if unsure whether to approach him or not.
Adam peeled his eyes open and tilted his head to the side to look at him. "What are you doing standing there?" he signed. "Close the door."
Luca frantically nodded and shut the door, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt as he approached him.
Adam furrowed his brows at him. "Kid, why are you acting like I'm some monster? Will you relax? You're the one who chose to come here with me, so quit acting like I'm going to eat you alive."
The younger man eyed him and eventually relaxed, his tensed shoulders falling.
"I'm sorry, sir."
