Poppy walked into the bar, stopping to glance around with an unsure expression. She was looking for someone, and as soon as she sighted him, a huge smile emerged on her face, and she waved at him.
"Over here." The man, short brown hair with light gray eyes, waved back at her, urging her to come over to where he sat at the counter, a bartender filling up his glass.
She moved over, taking a seat on the stool right next to him.
"Sebastian, hey."
The man, Sebastian, chuckled at her. "It's so good to see you again, Poppy, you look very beautiful."
She nudged him, holding the widest smile on her face. "Thank you. You look good too."
Sebastian did a show of flexing while soft laughter bubbled out of him, and he reached for his filled glass, taking a sip of the alcohol that burned right down his throat.
"So how have you been, Pop?"
"Okay." Poppy glanced at him. "Pretty okay."
"Are you sure?"
