Ford leaned back in the seat, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. He knew he didn't have much of a choice—he couldn't manage everything alone, and Lily was the only person he trusted enough to help. After a brief moment of hesitation, he finally dialed her number.
Meanwhile, across town, Lily was enjoying a relaxed morning. She had just finished a long bath and breakfast and was now curled up on the couch with her new boyfriend, Kelvin, watching a romantic movie. The mood was light and carefree as they shared laughter over the scenes playing out on the screen.
Then, Lily felt her phone vibrating on the table beside her. Curious about who could be calling, she reached over and picked it up. Her brows furrowed in surprise when she saw her big brother's name flashing boldly across the screen.
The sight of his name caused an immediate reaction. Her heart raced, and her hands began to tremble with a mix of fear and shock. It had been a while since Ford had called her out of the blue, and she couldn't help but wonder if something serious had happened.
In her startled state, her grip on the phone slipped, and it tumbled from her hands, clattering onto the floor. Kelvin glanced over, concerned.
"Lily? Are you okay?" he asked, leaning forward to check on her.
"I… I'm fine," she stammered. "Is it ford calling?" Kelvin asked in worry he knew the only persons call that would make Lily tremble like that was that of Fords.
"Yes it is" She replied trembling. "Don't worry just act normal lets hear why he has to say" Kelvin calmly spoke trying to calm her tensed nerves.
Bending down she picked up the phone. But the call had already come to an end. Smiling she hoped he wouldn't call again at least not when she was in Kelvin's house.
But her Smiles where cut short when Fords call came in the second time with shaky hands, she retrieved the phone and stared at the screen for a moment, debating whether to answer.
Whatever the reason for Ford's call, she hoped going to change her peaceful morning. Looking at Kelvin who gave her a go ahead. Picking up the call.
"Lily, how are you?" Ford asked. His unexpected question caught her off guard, but she quickly composed herself, determined to act normal.
"I'm alright. Any problem, bro?" she replied, though she felt a wave of nervousness.
"No problem. But I need your help with something," Ford began, his tone more serious now. "I need you to take someone shopping. Don't ask any questions. Just help her get new stuff—clothes, anything she needs. Buy whatever she wants. I'll explain everything when I'm back. She's at my place. I'll send you some money." With that, Ford ended the call abruptly.
Shocked and still processing what she'd heard, Lily turned to Kelvin. "Does my brother have a girlfriend?" she asked, her question catching Kelvin off guard.
"Why would you ask that? How would I know? What did he say to you?" Kelvin responded evasively, clearly trying to avoid answering her question. He was careful not to say anything without Ford's permission.
Lily narrowed her eyes, studying him suspiciously. It was clear Kelvin knew more than he was letting on, but he wasn't about to spill. "Please, babe, don't make me say things I shouldn't," Kelvin begged, shifting his attention back to his phone, hoping to dodge further interrogation.
"Alright, I get it," Lily replied, smirking slightly. "But wait—does this mean my brother finally has a girl he likes? This is huge! You can't imagine—he actually asked me to take her shopping for new clothes!"
Kelvin's head shot up in surprise. "Seriously?" he asked, his shock evident.
"And that's not even the craziest part," Lily added, her voice rising with excitement. "The most surprising thing is that he brought her to his place!"
She finished her sentence with a mix of disbelief and curiosity, leaving Kelvin speechless as the implications of her brother's actions hung in the air.
"What?" Lily's words completely threw him off guard. "Ford wouldn't take just any lady to his home. Sia—the one who always forces herself on him—he wouldn't even let her sleep over, let alone Elena," Kelvin added, clearly uneasy.
"Wow, you even know her name. Elena. Interesting," Lily said, laughing at how Kelvin had just exposed himself.
"Anyway, I was panicking for nothing. I need to go now before Ford starts asking where I am," she said hurriedly, gathering her things to leave.
"So suddenly, babe? Just like that?" Kelvin asked, his expression turning into a playful pout.
Smiling at his cute reaction, she leaned in to hug him. As she turned his cheek to give him a light peck, Kelvin seized the opportunity. He shifted his face just in time so that her lips met his.
Shocked, Lily tried to pull away, but Kelvin held her close. "Babe, just one kiss, please," he begged, his eyes locked on her lips.
"Kelvin, not now. I really need to go," Lily complained half-heartedly, though she made little effort to free herself from his arms. Her eyes betrayed her as they lingered on his lips, and his gaze remained fixed on hers. Deep down, she couldn't deny the warmth she felt being held by him.
Without saying another word, Kelvin slowly pulled her closer, his intentions clear. As their lips met gently, Lily trembled slightly. It was her first time being so conscious of a kiss—a real kiss shared with a man.
She'd never been in a relationship before. Any guy who discovered who her brother was would quickly walk away, scared off by Ford's overprotectiveness.
But here she was, in the arms of his best friend, feeling both nervous and exhilarated as Kelvin deepened the kiss.
She knew what they were doing was risky, but she couldn't stop herself from giving in to the moment. Her heart raced as she opened her lips slightly wider, inviting Kelvin to deepen the kiss. His tongue explored hers, moving with a teasing rhythm that sent shivers down her spine.
The kiss grew more passionate, his movements becoming bolder as he sucked gently on her lower lip. His teeth grazed it lightly, a mixture of tenderness and intensity that made her knees weaken. The heat between them was undeniable, building with every second as he held her close, leaving no space between their bodies.
Lily knew the kiss was getting intense but she just couldn't help it , she just allowed Kelvin take control.
