His statement ignited my father's wrath, transforming it into a raging inferno.
"How dare you claim to be her sibling?" my father roared, his voice reverberating through the chamber. "Do you even acknowledge her as your sister? I left her in your care, instructing you to look after her. Is this how you fulfill that responsibility?"
Michael, emboldened by Victor's insolence, mumbled, "Jessica is our sister too. Savannah mistreats her, is cruel to the staff, and behaves arrogantly. Why should we care for someone like that?"
Logan promptly added, "Precisely! If she hadn't been so harsh to Jessica, we wouldn't have been upset. She's been gone for years and now acts like a commoner. Jessica, however, has the elegance of a true noble lady. Allowing her to act as the Duke's daughter was to protect our family's standing!"
